I do/did ninja-looting.
I do justice to the word ninja,
as i use a highly utilized, cloaky cheetah ...
... with ship-scanner (to scan you) ...
... cargo-scanner (to scan wrecks) ...
... and of course a salvager.
I warp cloaked into your mission.
F1, ALT+Space, -, F2, F1 (necessary keys to press ... "what's ALT+Space?" LOL)
A two-seconds timeframe until i can cloak again, which fits.
Your wreck is scanned and you (probably) didn't even notice.
At around 2400m ... i halt.
Fully cloaked, as "decloak" is at 2000m.
Using keyboard and mouse, i can ...
... decloak ...
... open the can ...
... click into it and CTRL+A ... (imagine a mouse-button set as keyboard-shortcut. it's legal. ^^)
... move it into my cargo and cloak.
Takes two to three seconds.
Maybe four, seldomly matters anyway. :)
Chance is high i get into your mission early,
which means there are plenty of NPCs on your overview ...
... which means (further away) you don't even recognize me ...
... and if you recognize me ... it's of no use anyway. :)
Better Gate-Campers utilize modules shortening their locking-time dramatically,
enabling them to lock on to a fast aligning, cloaking covops within a 1-2s timeframe.
You can't do that ! :D :D :D
Now ... there are counters, of course.
Some of you probably have already at least one in their head.
Plenty of you who are now reading this ...
... have NO clue what to do against it.

Giving thousands of reasons why you're logic is justified ... (by yourself, at least)
... you totally ignore why it simply isn't.
To be very honest, it seems that many capsuleers in new eden
seriously lack knowledge of game mechanics.
To play this game, you need to use your brains and gather knowledge.
Of course, you don't have to ... then you just suck at the game. :)
Also, what helps in EvE is personal responsibility (actions have/used to have consequences, be carefull)
and the ability to sort your **** out yourself, or being able to ask some friends to help you.
If you fail at that, you go crying at the forum.
Proof ? Just take a look around.
I understand that ppl maybe want to play a game
that enables them to get a testosterone-rush
by shooting stupid AI unharmed and watching them pop.
(see "Drake" or "RattleSnake" for reference)
(anybody see the connection to ninja-salvagers, btw ? ^^)
... but not caring about other aspects of the game ...
... and instead demanding changes in the game ...
... because WE play the game in a way it's meant to be played ...
... well ... nope.
This can't be stressed enough.
1. You're trying to deal with in-game-stuff outside of the game.
2. You need to adapt to the game, not the other way round.
3. If you fail to do that, it's the wrong game for you.
Also, if you fail to realize your mistake within ...
... the timeframe it takes until it impacts enough ppl ...
... (read: ****es off too many of us) ...
... people _will_ start kicking carebearing candy asses even more. (hopefully everywhere)
Wardeccing mining-corps is easy.
Wardeccing small noobish corps is even easier.
Wardeccing mission-runners-corps ... you get the point.

I have a bad habit of running directional scans even when I'm high sec missioning (which I barely ever do nowadays).
Now if I did see you one of two things would probably happen.
1) I'de abandon my wrecks, because I honestly don't give a ****.
2) I'de destroy my wreck, because I honestly don't give a ****.
Look people this is really a tired, and dumb scenario.
Your mission ship is worth 1-2 billion isk, the misison you're in is worth 5 - 40 million isk, that loot he stole is probably worth 100k - 2 million isk at most.
It is never worth risking a mission ship for something as worthless as mission loot.

ALT+Space = put focus on overview (try pressing up/down-arrow-keys now)
CTRL+Space = stop ship
Check the order of the keys, that i need to press, again.
Ship gets stopped before F1.

Depriving someone with a long winded opinion of themselves is the same as that person's opinion that they actually took something of value from a carebear. Good luck wasting time carebearing in highsec where CONCORD is protecting your ass and you have zero risk because any mouth breathing, crashhelmt wearing ****** knows PVE ships pop like a ballon so might as well go play WoW with just as zero risk content. Any more nerfs and it just won't be worth the hassle to even play EVE and find some other MMO with less boring NPC content to pay for PVP.

I would bet more people than you know realize that you're sneaking around in their missions OP, they just don't care, lol. Salvage and Loot aren't really worth what they used to be when salvage was first introduced. Plus a lot of loot got nerfed, so like I said, many people probably don't care. Maybe you're not as sneaky as you think you are. ;)
