I don't know if this is a minor annoyance for anybody else, but I was thinking if there could be added a default cargo "Sort By" checkbox feature in the generic game options (type/name/quantity). Currently, the default cargp sort is set to "name", which I never use (I don't know about anybody else) and I have to constantly sort by type everytime I dock or whatever. Please give me the choice as to what I always sort by... please?

Yes, yes, yes! This has been annoying the hell out of me since it used to sort by type and now defaults to sorting by name.

I and a lot of people I have talked to agree. Making sort by name default, is truly and very annoing. Bad HCI(Human computer interaction) choice.

This should be in the game. If it can be done with the overview settings there is no reason why it can not be done in other areas like market default selling times and vault sorting. It should be a simple setting like for overview and is very much needed.

meh... I think that it wasn't intentional on CCP's part... For as long as I can remember, the game has always sorted by type until that patch that introduced the new sort-by menu thingy's... (least mine always has)
Why would they go and "fix" something that wasn't really broken to start with? 
Totally agree here... I don't know a single person that sorts by anything other than type.
Anyone who's played Eve for more than a month knows how far down the list to scroll to get to the shield boosters and hardeners, for example, when sorting by type.
Should prolly get a poll to see if there is actually anyone that sorts by name...

Oops - my first reply was out of topic.
Now thats a good idea - get a "property" that the players themselves can decide the state of.
We should get more "properties" where we can decide the default state of.
The properties should be saved server-side so when you switch computer you get your setup back.
It's annoying when you switch computer and your setup is back to installed-defaults again.
