I just put a market sell order up for a item which was in a station where someone else had a sell order up for the same thing, mine was cheaper, someone bought 1 unit of the more expensive priced item and for soem reason it took from my stock and gave me the isk for the sale as though I had the more expensive priced items up, so for some reason my sell order became linked to another players sell order.
or to put it another way and try and make it a little clearer:
Sell order A is on market for 91 isk a unit I stick up sell order B cheaper than sell order A
Someone buys from Sell order A, and it deducts units from sell order B and gives me the isk ask though I was the owner of sell order A.
this should NOT be happening and makes it appear I'm the one with sell order A up when Sell order B is my actual sell order. not sure if it's just confined to the region where I'm selling or if this issue is effecting others in eve, some will probley look at this and say whats the problem? enjoy the profit, but this is a bug and been replicated 3 times (several of my alliance helped me test this) and confirmed regardless of corp their in, it still pulls units from my sell order and gives me the isk as though the other sell order was mine.

Have you, um, played EVE long?
Working as it always has and as has always been intended.
What actually happened was that someone placed a buy order offering the higher price, which was matched to your order. They did not, as you suggest, "buy from sell order A" - such a thing isn't possible. |

I did the same thing earlier trying to transfer ISK between alts on a trial account. Some lucky guy got 32m isk for 1 round of Republic Faction EMP S :c |

If you buy from within a station, it usually will take from the quantity of the cheapest station order, even if you selected to buy at a greater price on a different order in the same station.
It always has for me anyway. |

Working as intended.
You are actually paying a broker to get the item. So the broker picks the cheapest item that meets the order. In this case someone, probably mistakenly purchased the more expensive order, but since you had the cheaper order, the broker completed yours first.
Someone had a link to a page that explained this but thread got locked. So we will have to hope someone who understands better then I can explain. "The human body can be drained of blood in 8.6 seconds, given adequate vacuuming systems." |

In such a case it's best to put the sell order up on a station with no other orders for that item. That way cheaper orders won't interfere. Unified Church of the Unobligated - madness in the method Mamma didn't raise no victims. |

You said it pretty well. Where if eve gets it wrong is that the broker should really pocket the difference instead of giving the seller extra.
Also its usually people trying to launder dirty isk that get caught out. |

Before I knew how the market worked, I bought from rounded-price orders (10,000.00 ISK) at hubs, reasoning there was less chance it'd be a market bot order. |
