Hi, I have a few questions about subscriptions to Eve.
1) Is it possible to stack subscriptions? For example, I have about 2 weeks left on my current sub and I just got some cash, so I was wondering if I could buy another sub now and the time will add on.
2) Does Eve auto-renew?(When you use credit cards to pay) If so, how would I cancel auto renew?
I looked in my account management section and have not found answers to either of these questions. Your help is very appreciated. Thanks.

If you're using a static CC then you either pay monthly or buy blocks of time I.E 1 mth, 3 mth, 6 th. 1 yr. Those blocks are just an example. Refer to http://support.eveonline.com/Pages/KB/Article.aspx?id=21 for the exact payment plans.
2. Yes it does. As for un-subbing I just scanned my acct page and am as just as lost as you. Although I'd imagine that deleting your CC info then updating would do the trick in a brutish sort of way. I could be wrong though.
I have canceled a couple of obfuscated account subs that way in the past though and it always worked. They may not get the hint any other way but they do when you don't pay. And since you were subbed up until they tried to re-sub you then your credit is fine. It really doesn't matter when you cancel. Billing is on a cycle. They will always get one last payment out of you no matter what. And game subs unlike real life bills will not carry a balance to be collected. You get what you pay for and pay for what you get. No more no less.

For "recurring" subscriptions (credit card, debit card, and lately also PayPal), the moment you run out of prepaid time, another tranche identical to your last is automatically billed, and you get the corresponding prepaid game time credited. You get an option to "cancel account" ONLY for recurring subscriptions, and what that option does is simply STOP the next automatic bill from being processed. You still get to use whatever prepaid gaming time is left with no means to "pause" it. If you want to add gametime on top of your existing prepaid gametime (ALL gametime is prepaid), the only options normally available are GTC and PLEX. You can add as many of those you like. A GTC will add 60 days, a PLEX will add 30 days. In case you were already on a recurring subscription, adding a GTC or a PLEX will delay the time for your next automatic bill until the prepaid gametime runs out. _

If you cancel automatic payments, you can then proceed to buy additional time using Credit/Debit/Paypal if your remaining gametime is under 30 days.
Until then the option to use those will be disabled, and you will only be able to apply plex or gtc.
If anything is unclear and you are worried about some payment option, file a petition under the payment section. CCP is very quick to respond to those, and as far as i know, those are handled by specialized sales staff (not the GMs who handle in game petitions). _______________________ The best thing in EvE is Barrage M. |
