I have recently upgraded my personal EVE Online Ventrilo server to hold a total of 50 Slots!
I am opening my doors and welcoming anybody and everybody from the eve community to make use of my ventrilo for communication and discussion of EVE Online. The forums are a great place to ask questions and learn how to play the game however if you don't like to wait for somebody to reply to your thread or would rather talk with somebody one on one then this is the vent for you.
My EVE Online Ventrilo is a Guaranteed Lag Free Dedicated Server that can be configured to accommodate almost any eve related activity.
If you need a custom channel or help with anything Staff are always online to help make your experience a desirable one!
For everybody who already has ventrilo use the following address to connect to the EVE Online Public Ventrilo Server.
autism.nationvoice.com:3968 ---------IP:Port-----------
Getting Ventrilo
Step 1: Download Ventrilo Step 2: Install Ventrilo Step 3: Configure Ventrilo (this is straight forward, if you can figure eve out then this should be easy)
-----
If anybody has any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Marcabian 5th Invasion Fleet |

While I think this is a novel idea and possibly a great way to provide a voice based outlet for the eve community I take issue with your statement that if they know how to play eve they should be able to figure out how to set up vent.
This thread has what 43 views now? I have been on the vent and so far nobody has joined it yet... So I think you grossly overestimate the intellect of the eve online community. Team Blue |

I would think its far more likely that people who have read this thread, already have their own voice servers to be on and aren't interested in yet another voice comms to login to.
Or they are not interested in voice comms at all. TS3 and TS2 servers for rent, order here |

The goal is to form a UNIFIED voice comm for all people to use as a place of fun a leisure. A place where people can ask questions and get instant answers.. Marcabian 5th Invasion Fleet |

I am not by any means saying its a bad idea, I'm just explaining why you have as many views as you have and only Xenuria is on it atm, at least last time I looked.
If I thought the community would use it I would offer up a mumble server with a 5k cap on it, but I don't think it will be used. TS3 and TS2 servers for rent, order here |

Tried something similar to this recently with a TS3 server free to all. Something to help the smaller corps and groups who could not afford hosting services. No one used it, ever... sad

That is both preposterous and sad...
What is wrong with people? Everybody is always looking for Free stuff and easy ways out and when you present them with one they often snub their nose at it... Marcabian 5th Invasion Fleet |

Because the people that have a use for it, Realize its potential and are willing to ante up for it. The free loaders on the other hand...

Let me run you past my thinking:
50 slots is not enough for me to "talk to the playerbase".
If you have all 50 people in one channel its going to be a cluser****, and that cannot be fixed unless you let all users create custom channels on the fly, so channels can be created and destroyed as conversations arise.
Basically its too small and too confusing. Nice idea, but terrible implementation.

Eve voice. It works fine, I can invite whoever I want into a chat or leave it and create another one as I see fit. Or I could just use Skype if I want to have decent quality and only want to chat with a couple of people. What more do I need?
