Edited by: Drakarin on 12/05/2011 18:08:02 Hi guys,
I just came back after several months (at least 3) and was prompted to download a new build. I accepted, and it downloaded it just fine; however through the installation process the installer crashed. When I tried to run the game again, I get an error as follows: "The procedure entry point PyStacklessIoWakeupEnabled could not be located in the dynamic link library Python27.dll".
What does that mean, and how can I fix this?
Please note that ideally I would like to solve this without having to redownload the entire client, because I have a very frustrating download limit that I am too close to go over, and I just reactivated my account for 5 free days. It would be quite a shame to not be able to play at all because I can't log in due to technical reasons.
I appreciate any help, thanks.

Edited by: Adeles on 12/05/2011 19:23:56 Did you already try to run the repair.exe in the eve installation folder?
Should fix anything broken and not need a lot more bandwidth than a patch.
PS. Think thats a new feature but pretty sure it was already around 3 month ago but I think there is also somewhere a manual download for it.

Thanks for the quick response,
I tried the repair tool in the installation folder, at first it would not update itself but after a couple attempts, it downloaded the updated repair tool. I ran it, and at first it seemed to be working, but then 30 seconds in I see a line saying "Error 13 access denied" or something very similar to those lines. After seeing this error, it kept going on but on a different process tree. It was in the checksum, but seemed to skip it. It went on to check other files, I suppose, and it did download some which I suppose must have been missing, perhaps due to the failed patch installation?
However, when I tried to launch the game, I still get the same error. Now when I try to run the repair tool again it gets stuck at the checksum process at 0.00%. No errors, it just doesn't do anything now.
This is quite bizarre is it not? I don't really know what to do, short of what I can't do which is to redownload the entire client. Ugh, I really hate having download limits.

Try running the repair tool as Admin (right click -> run as admin). Long shot I know, but access denied errors can be related to this.

Hmm, I only have my primary account. This should have all administrative privileges. Never encountered an issue with it before.
When I try to run it as administrator, it won't work. Evidently there's a password, but I never set one. How silly.
That could be it though, I will try to figure out how to run it as administrator and update it soon.
