Seriously, all the original events had immediate military application.
Might as well add small unit tactics to the list.
I'd pay good money to see Spetsnaz go up against a seal team in a Paintball match.
Hell I'll settle for Hoplite, with modern field packs.

I'd actually want to see that as an olympic sport over many of the current ones. Many of them are there just because of tradition and should have been replaced by more relevant and interesting events decades ago. Pole dancing for example is just as athletic as some of the older sports, you can do it anywhere in the world without special equipment and it's fun to watch, which is an important aspect today with such large events and shouldn't be ignored.
I can understand why some might oppose it, but do you people honestly even watch the olympics anymore? Maybe a few sports sure, but you propably couldn't really care less about most events they have there. You got things like 4 different types of cycling, archery and fencing(the gay type, not actual sword fighting) for example. They should reduce the number of similar sports to make room for new ones and replace old traditional ones with modern ones tweaked to make them more entertaining to watch. If olympics would mean more things like paintball wars between special forces and world class pole dancing competitions, I would never miss it on TV.
