Is it possible to make it so that when you initiate fleet warp all ships begin warp at the same time and warp at the speed of the slowest ship in fleet?
Does anyone else think this would be useful/beneficial to implement? |

yahh its called asking everyone to align to the warp-out point and once everyone is aligned and up to speed, click "warp fleet to..." |

Oh that works great..... for small pvp gangs, in a mismatched fleet, or an industrial escort no problems can occur when a fleet warps at different AUs/s. |

Fleet warps already make it so the entire fleet warps at the same speed and at the same time.... The only reason they don't go into warp together is because most ships have different align times.... So, by having everyone align prior to fleet warping, there is no align time and all ships will warp at the same time and at the same speed, and they will arrive at the destination at the same time... |

Thank you for clarifying this, I suppose asking them to adjust it so they align together would take too much risk out of fleet warp mechanics. Would still be nice though. |

Yeah, when a fleet warps they travel at the speed of the slowest ship in that fleet. So if you have a freighter in your fleet, you're going to have a bad time.
And yes, having the game pre-align your ships for fleet warp is too easy. Just repeatedly enforce aligning to your fleet members and they'll soon figure out it's a good thing when they get stuck in a bubble while the rest of the fleet is laughing and pointing at them.

We just talked about why that's not a good idea.... Whether it's done automatically or you have to first issue it, then fleet warp, it's bad idea.

Nah this would be real bad. Either you have everyone warping out at the speed of the least agile ship in situations where everyone needs to bail. Or you give an artificial buff to the slower ships thus giving them an advantage.
