The real question though is there going to be an increase in faction missions mixed in the security agents. I run level 4 internal security agents so I don't completely screw my faction standings and only have to decline 1 in 10-15 missions to prevent the faction hit. Now what's going to happen?

Good news! The patch date was rescheduled. Which means I'm not going senile and suffering skill point loss in Reading Comprehension.

You get this completely wrong.
All that will change is the systems used. There will be a few new systems having the most security agents, and people will gather in those. Salvagers and Gankers will follow.

Quote: Information on a pilot's standings towards NPC corporations is no longer visible from 'Show Info'. You now see the standings information between you and the other pilot and the factions you each belong to.
What purpose does this change serve? Now if you're grinding standings for someone, you'll need their API to check progress instead of the character info in game. It's just an annoyance that serves no purpose.

Interesting change. I'm betting people with currently high agent qualities will be hit by a slight nerf, and people with currently low agent qualities will be hit by a significant boost. Reasoning is agent quality becomes less of a scarce resource, and people without it get it for free, generating more LP, driving ISK/LP down, etc, etc, driving the top end of mission running ISK/hr down.
Anyway. I guess its cool because whatever low sec/0.0 system I want to be in now has good quality agents (as opposed to being -14 half the time).

This has two effects: - Low sec mission runners can no longer be pinned down to a single agent (which basically tells you which gate to camp) - The expected "agent promiscuity" would have made the screen somewhat useless (and laggy) anyway.

They ought to spread out to more agents. Isn't this what the patch is supposed to be for? And you're not required to click on the npc standings tab. The relationship tab is not laggy, and it's the default if that's what you have it open last time you viewed someone's character info. You intentionally do things that produce lag, you get lag.
There is a profession that grinds standings for traders and the like, for a fee. This change kills that profession, at no benefit for everyone else.

Even better - more agents closer together, some duplicated even in the same station, and predictability re: the type of missions offered. Makes it easier to 'double up' on hauling missions, and bridge the 'time out' penalty for rejected empire faction combat missions.
Get over it! Learn from your mistake and move on. |

Yay so the Q12 agent I used just because it was 1 jump from my corps home system will be just as good as the high quality cluster****s in motsu, dodixie, fricoure, Gicodel, emolgarnlen, etc.
Should reduce ninja salvage a bit too as the griefers will have to spread out more.

That was my thought too [not specifically Jita, just as close to a trade hub as possible].
I'm thinking it might be worth it to just stay in those distant [6+ jump] systems. Sure, I'll end up spending time doing mass transports to the trade hub to sell stuff, but I'll be dealing with less lag and potentially fewer ninja's.

You need to realize that system sec status still affect rewards, to the effect of 10 effective quality per 0.1 in sec, meaning that people will cluster to 0.5 sec systems that are also not near lowsec. That's a handful of agents in all of Eve. The few hubs will still be there, just moved around a bit. And in Irjunen's case (0.5 sec), not moved at all.

There will still be incentive to spread out just as there always has been. ISK/LP will be higher on corps who aren't farmed to hell because they have a 0.5 agents somewhat close to Jita.

If your current agent in a mission hub is not Q20 already, it will be after the patch. You get a buff without changing anything.
So why would anyone whose agent was not already Q20 want to move to a new system?

...seems you guys have forgotten a key component of mission rewards - LP - have a floating value. I.e., the more running missions = the more LP generated = the more faction loot/implants = the lower price for such items.
an increase in LP should cause a flood of faction items and a decrease in price, and a decrease in mission ISK/hr.
Same thing applies for salvage/drops etc. The only thing that is buffed are bounties (to the extent you get more BS rewards) and direct ISK mission rewards.
First movers will profit, as always, but it should equalize as people hunt the best isk/lp item and create it.
I think this is a buff for pvpers... those faction items are extremely useful in PVP for getting an edge, and only marginally better for mission runners outside of WH space.
Also means if people migrate in from WHs to run level 4s, increase in t3 and nanoribbons.
Biggest benefit = courier bots who now have a cluster of same quality agents in 1 system... until they flood the market.
I wonder, will this also help sec status? Does running a level4 Q20 mission give more sec status than a level4 Q-20? I know it helps standings... and hence POS/jump clone deployment, but what about sec status? More sec status = more hisec ganking and lowsec wars?

an increase in LP should cause a flood of faction items and a decrease in price, and a decrease in mission ISK/hr.
For non-tag items, the price will go down. However, the increased LP gain isn't matched with an increase in tag supply. Tag prices will probably go up, the lp/isk conversion rate will go down since you can only pass so much of the increased tag price back to the customer, but the supply of tag based faction items probably won't change.
However, if new people start to run level 4s after the 0.0 nerf and because of the agent quality buff, then the tag supply might expand and you'll see a larger (cheaper) supply of faction items.
