My first reaction was were the ships even worth 100mil each..
I looked at your kb loss and the answer is No they were not even worth 100mil to buy Fresh New ones...
You lost 400mil to learn a lesson. Did you learn it?

You made a rather basic mistake in paying the ransoms. Let me explain it to you.
TEARS, and other organizations similar to them, make use of a unique power plant in their ships, that are called the "Biosaline Antiproton Dual-Reactor Power Plant". The fuel requirements are rather simple; large amounts of a unique biologically-produced saline-like solution, suspended in water. The ionic substances suspended in this fluid are extracted, stripped of certain atoms in the molecule to make them unstable in a special way. Then a miracle happens, and through a complex reaction involving lazers, they produce antiprotons, which are then injected into the central reaction chambers.
Note that I said "chambers". This is a DUAL reactor plant, after all. Which means they need two sources of the biosaline. Please note that you have two eyes.
Now, once this reaction is finished, a great deal of motivational force is produced. This results in a large amount of power for the ships, but it also produces the need to get more biosaline.
The waste product of this reaction is a special particle called "Large Omnipolar Leptons", or "LOLs" for short.
I hope this will help.

I remember carebearing in hi-sec with this alt and I think it was the same group. I recall shooting them just to see how many ships would come. I was also invited to their private channel. I got some cut-N-paste ransom letter. I lol'ed and told them to kill me. They tried to convince me that the ransom was worth it. I cited rule #1 of eve which was "don't fly anything that you cant afford to lose". After they destroyed my ship and collected whatever tears that was left then they attempted to scramble my pod so I couldnt warp off and ransomed again. I told them to have fun and went on playing with my main. they gave up after about 10 minutes.
... anyway never give in to ransoms. Its only an internet spaceship, just buy another one. give them nothing so you get some tears back.
