I haven't seen faction standing actually do anything (besides e-peen), but I might be missing something..? Furthermore, getting standings with the corp you're running missions for is so easy, that storyline missions seems unnecessary. Am I missing something? Reileen Kawahara	Posted - 2011.05.22 10:56:00 - [2] They are 1 way to increase your faction standing with Amarr, Caldari, Gallente and Minmatar. This is required in order to put up a high sec POS and do some high end cosmos missions.

Baljos Arnjak	Posted - 2011.05.22 15:56:00 - [5] And a benefit for high faction standings is that a lot of agents use what's highest (faction, corp, or personal). So once you get your faction standing high enough to run lvl4's, you'll be able to run for just about any agent in that faction without having to grind up from lvl 1's.
