WOW what a bold argument about a researcher not being a PvP person.
Researcher and BPO holder usually means some sort of a manufacturer as well being just holding the BPO does crap for ya.
For those people PvP does NOT come in the form of shooting someone out of their hull.
It comes from conducting business in eve. In a player driven market and economy. If you ask me the biggest realm of PvP is the market and not piracy. Their risk is playing the market against othe rplayers of the market and a totally different kind of PvP being it's driven by all of us "shopping" for components.
and to say their is no risk vs reward in playing the money market is silly.
Empire is where business is conducted, most business happens in secure empire.
Agents are a form of contactorial business and where it takes place is the same as market as it is a business service.
same as doing business on wallstreet or in the black market of some nutty mid east state.
both will yeild rewards and both have reason for happening but in terms of business...... people look for secure business.
CCP has accomodated all the cries if risk vs rewards ever complained about as far as agents. so shut it already.
they are hear, they are permanent, and 5's WILL EVE'ntually come. SO deal with it.
agents were planned from the release, if you don't like it to bad. cry me a river.
they are the exact reason I've paid for two characters for almost 2 years.
if you don't like your reward for your risks then I guess you have to make a choice, as opposed to forcing CCP to force us to change with no say.
All agents have been on map since release so deal with it. People like myself have made plans for 2 years to use that service in relation to their locations. To redistribute them now or to change that is ludecris after almost 2 years in planning.

I love this never ending risk vs reward waaaaaaa cry me a river crap the rebirthes in the forums every couple monthes..........
The part i find so humorous is all the people with negative standings that cry a river and saying waaaaaa you carebears in empire. There's no risk in empire waaaaaa.
Bet yet with the negative standings that they have never leave the secuirty of 00 being they they have negative security and don't want to risk concord.
LMFAO and fall right out of the chair.
they stay in 00 for the same damn reason a carebear stays in empire....... HAHAHAHAHA

Inflation ....... wait ingame inflation.
There is only one bad thing about ingame inflation and devaluing "INGAME ISK"
it devalues the ISK being sold on fricken EBAY why cuz it's easier for everyone to get. Regardless of the value of 1 ISK ingame...... inflation allows people to be slightly frivaless with their spending. If their spending then the market is working if the ingame market is working then corporations are selling cuz of people having extra cash to spend.........
instead of crying a river about risk vs reward maybe you should be whining about the corp tax if your worried about "ingame inflation"
If people have money they will spend it no matter the value of it. extra inflated money in eve is a good thing not a bad thing.
As far as true risk vs reward. Why don't you negative 00 "pirates" shut it and put your own risk vs your own rewards and come on into unsecure empire.......i mean theres no risk for a pirate in 00 so i suppose a negative standing rat the never comes into empire is just as much a carebear as a carebear empire mission runner player

Sorry but not and completely untrue.
running lvl 4 with khanid navy. the majority of my kill missions are Ammatar and Amarr navy kill mission(60%+). they have entirely no bounty on any ship and wrap me up with looting everything for atleast 1/2 hour after everything is dead with a 3 man team. solo takes way over 1.5 hours to haul 4k cargo of loot.
the bonus is anywhere from 250k isk to about 500k tops for these missions. yes that is lvl 4 agent and negotiations trained to 5 so that is max capable excluding eff quaility.
the only reward I get for these kills is the fact that the navy kills drop twice as much worthless loot to be recycled.
so after completing this mission, everyone gets 100k for their troubles and all we got was a bunch of worthless loot to recycle, over 1/2 hour from undock to complete. The navy kills almost never ever drop anything named at all ...... it's total recycles.
Last night played from 6pm to midnight and got a string of these kill missions at lvl 4. We didn't get one good paying kill mission. it was ALLLLLL navy kills the whole night.
we made less than 1.5 mill each for 6 hours worth of lvl 4 missions after splitting my rewards with team, not one single named item but a ton of recycles. Prolly enough for a teir 1 BS just last night.
till that gets recycled and built into a BS and SOLD.....it's not worth anything.
we are making our money as a team by selling BS made from the recycles. We definitely are not getting any "rich" from khanid agents directly.
I've been avidly missioning for just under two years and was able to fund my own ships via lvl 3 recycling.
now that we are in a good 3 man crew, we can completely team up on lvl 4's and produce more recycles and tech 2 rewards as a team on lvl 4's than any solo lvl 4 runner can even think about but ultimately we don't make squat after splitting or rewards 3 ways until we recycle and put or gathering into a finished form of a BS to sell on Market.
Even the high paying rewarding missions after splitting 3 ways is not much, 5 mill tops each. and those missions even wrap up a team for over 1 to 2 hours on the biggies.
before lvl 4 teaming maybe 1 BS a month. if lucky. since teaming we can make about 8 scorps a month just from lvl 4 recycles.
So not all missioners are getting these uber amounts from the missions as you say.
It takes more work and effort elsewhere than just running missions to make the uber amounts from missions.
Edit: And those Navy ship kills don't give you any security standing increase either.
