Edited by: Musashi IV on 26/05/2011 13:16:27 The war on the robots has been very effective by CCP. Skynet does not have the massive control in EVE as it did in 2011. The war has taken its toll. Without the robots to do the dirty work the EVE economy is out of control. Ship prices and PLEX prices have trippled. Many pirate players have had to be a carebear just so they can make enouph ISK to buy that next ship. PLEX price's have reached over 750 mil because most of the robot PLEX buyers are gone. EVE itself has dwindled down to only ten thousand pilots because most cant afford the PLEX to keep thier pilot licences valid. CCP is taking extraordinary steps to solve the problem. They are sending a lone warrior back to 2011. He will try to warn the pilots that robots are thier friends. They do all the dirty work so the pilots can do the fun things. He is going to warn CCP to create auto-mining ships so mining is not so boring. He will also try to convince CCP to have NPC sell PLEX so all pilots can afford to renew thier licence. If this lone warrior fails EVE may be doomed!!

Good, it means the people who complain about not being able to get PLEX to runt heir accounts will be gone. No more threads for that crap.

Geez... quit already. Take your pro-bot spam and go to another game. I am tired of your whining because you got caught botting and can't be arsed to play the game. Get over yourself

I got zero sympathy for people who can't pay cash to play. There is lot's of substandard free flash games on the net, some of them are pretty fun for 5 or 6 minutes...

lol, at least the threads are amusing. Die bots die.
I would rather see a bs be worth 400m and a SC be upwards of 100bil if thats what the effort to make them is really worth. -------------------------------------------------

Because the easy availability of isk for ships, especially super capital ships as a result of isk farming has been nothing but good for the game.

The war on the robots has been very effective by CCP. Skynet does not have the massive control in EVE as it did in 2011.
Good.
Without the robots to do the dirty work the EVE economy is out of control.
That's where you're wrong. When Eve first started, there were no robots and the economy was thriving even with high prices. Miners enjoyed it, so did the pvpers because tears were at their sweetest when pilots lost their recently-purchased shiny. Also, there was no such thing as plex at the time.
Many pirate players have had to be a carebear just so they can make enouph ISK to buy that next ship.
Back in the days, it paid well to be a mining carebear. Grinding missions was just a secondary profession for most at the time before bots took over. Also, again, the tears were at their sweetest at the time.
PLEX price's have reached over 750 mil because most of the robot PLEX buyers are gone.
Actually, PLEX prices will initially fall due to an over abundance of such commodities. Then, the remaining population will more than likely purchase them in bulk due to lower prices and then either keep them as an investment or use them to save real money. In the end, the PLEX prices will rise a bit to normal levels because of dwindling supplies of such commodities, but prices will not climb too high because of people continuously converting GTC to PLEX. So, 750 mil ISK for PLEX will more than likely not be possible.
EVE itself has dwindled down to only ten thousand pilots because most cant afford the PLEX to keep thier pilot licences valid.
Again, back in the days, PLEX didn't exist. So the 10,000 pilots that do remain will not miss it. Also, the Eve economy never crashed back when only less then 10,000 pilots actually existed. In fact, the economy was thriving with just that few people.
If you want to see a good example of how strong an economy is with fewer people, take a look at the days after the Black Plague. When 1/3 of the European population vanished in a short time, many job opportunities arose and pay risen to the point where peasants were able to afford their own homes, their own farms and raise their own families. Also, people learned a hard lesson at that time.
Apply that to Eve and you will get a similar effect. It's all in the laws of economics, my friend.

I would say only about 10-20% of the playerbase actually buy the subs through PLEX anyway. ----------------------------------------------- Mr.Kippling just launched a nuclear holocaust at third world countries! ... But he does make exceedingly good cakes. |

Some would argue otherwise. Even in the make believe future.

Sounds good to me.

Unlikely.
Quote: Ship prices and PLEX prices have trippled.
Ship prices maybe, but there is nothing wrong with that once Tiericide occurs.
Quote: Many pirate players have had to be a carebear just so they can make enouph ISK to buy that next ship.
Only the bad ones.
Quote: PLEX price's have reached over 750 mil because most of the robot PLEX buyers are gone.
Clearly supply and demand is not a concept you understand.
Quote: EVE itself has dwindled down to only ten thousand pilots because most cant afford the PLEX to keep thier pilot licences valid.
PLEX will become cheaper, so this won't happen.
Quote: CCP is taking extraordinary steps to solve the problem.
I wish. It seems quite the opposite to most of us.
Quote: They are sending a lone warrior back to 2011.
To do what? Get a forum ban for being a raging idiot?
Quote: He will try to warn the pilots that robots are thier friends.
My friends are not robots.
Quote: They do all the dirty work so the pilots can do the fun things.
Nobody is stopping you from doing the fun things as it is.
Quote: He is going to warn CCP to create auto-mining ships so mining is not so boring.
Mining drones?
Quote: He will also try to convince CCP to have NPC sell PLEX so all pilots can afford to renew thier licence.
NPCs do more to hurt the market than anything else.

Guess we just have to call all of our Freedom Fighter friends to stop the moron.

Less isk going into playerbase from bots means less inflation or even deflation. Hence PLEX prices will stay steady or might even go down with the halting of some isk faucets....

If less people are buying PLEX with botted ISK to pay for their bot accounts. Plex prices will go down just because of that

Having done some macroing, and being banned for it, and being reformed after that... :)
I think we are seeing the effects of a massive decrease in mining bots, but not a decrease in ratting bots.
CCP's mining bot detection is working, they are very effective now in detecting mining bots. However, after looking into ratting bots, it looks like they have not found a way to detect that as well.
If you look at it this way, mining bots actually produce something useful to the economy, you can turn minerals into ships, and it deflates mineral prices. It uses a market based economy system. Ratting bots serve no value but to increase inflation. Bounty awarded is just straight inflation into the economy.
This might be why things are getting more expensive.. anyways just a thought :)
