If you warp-in a get blown up by m0o in 5 seconds. It's your own fault for traveling across the galaxy, and failing to relog your client before warping to a gate that m0o is camping.
Unfortunately when you travel in EVE. You because the victim of a horrible memory leak. And if you do not relog after awhile, your going to lag tremendously when you warp into gates, stations, or asteroid belts.
You warp into an asteroid belt and die due to lag.. Your fault for not relogging.. Or CCP's fault for not finding the memory leak.
You warp into a stargate and die in 5 seconds.. Your fault for not relogging.. Or CCP's fault for not finding the memory leak.
If you look at the map.. It's really easy to figure out where the trouble is hiding. My suggestion, simply relog before making thoughs dangerous warps, or simply avoid them all together.

PvP is fun if its done in a fair way. Being ganked is almost PvP, but getting waporised while your client is lagging from reciving new data is not even close to PvP.
M0o might think they are qewl or what ever, but in the long run they will force CCP to react on their behaviour. Right or wrong is hard to say untill they present their solution to this kind of "PvP".
To me its only greif behavior and CCP should monitor these kind of players real close and react swift and hard.

I think a lot of people are missing the point of the original post here.
Basically that there is no fun, and no skill to PvP play in Eve.
As much as I enjoy Eve, the combat system simply boils down to who ever has the biggest and fastest guns wins.
There's no tactical element, no real though needed.
I've played a lot of on-line combat games, and the most satisfying are those where the skill has to be used. Even a good, entertaining fight where you loose is better then being able to win at a simple maths game that Eve is.
When you look at how you have to work hard at every other element of Eve, the combat routine feels as if it has been bolted on as an afterthought.
Only a good combat system can leave you feeling satisfied, when you have managed to beat a skilled opponant, or even been beaten by a skilled opponant. Sadly for me, that is the one real weakness that Eve has.

I think Eve needs ALOT more PvP but to encorage that they should reduce the penalty of loosing a ship. I want to play a bounty hunter and hunt down PC pirates not NPC's but as it stands now its just not worth it for the risk. Even with 99% insurance loosing a ship, equipment and possibly a life can take weeks to recover from and may even cripple a player. All this for what? A 20 second battle and probably less than 1 mil isk in bounty if you win. I can make 5 mil in bounty and loot in 1 hour fighting NPC's. If you're in a small corp you just cant afford to loose a cruiser for a a few seconds of PvP. Its just not fun. If 99% insurance was REALLY 99% insurance then we'd probably be alot keener to risk our ships. I want to fight PC's and have fun doing it but with the current penalties it becomes personal. You can wreck someones game completly and then it becomes a long term grudge. I've been lucky (or skillful) enough to not loose a ship in release but I remeber loosing a ship in beta and it literally took me weeks to recover. It should have taken hours.

I'm still in my free month trial, but I'm definitely NOT going to play this game past the free month if PvP is lowered/nerfed (again? - lots of people say last patch was a big downgrade). Anyways I don't play any MMO if there's no PvP action, it's pointless really. ________________________________ The end comes... beyond chaos... There are two sides to every coin. Love and hate. Anyone still complaining about combat speed obviously hasn't participated in it. I made it through a gate on autopilot with 2 people attacking. 1 I know was a Blackbird. I dunno about the other. When I jumped I was at 1/2 shields.
Consentual PvP? You consent the moment you leave protected space. There's a big message box that pops up (if you haven't turned it off) that tells you you might be on your own beyond that point. If you do not consent, then do not leave protected space. It's really that simple.
You are responsible for the consequences of your own actions. If your actions make you vulnerable, you are the person to blame. Not the person that takes advantage of the vulnerability. If you are 'ganked', you are to blame for being caught unaware. Not the person that 'ganked you'. There are too many easy precautions to prevent blundering head first into an ambush.
I mean its like you want corporations to oblige each other like its sex or something. Pffft I would rather **** my enemy.- Rohann
Be careful out there. That other guy waiting in the queue for the gate MIGHT be a baby-munching frock-burner, YOU JUST DON'T KNOW!- Lallante |

I had a run in with the Gang a few weeks back.... one of their (former) members called Rixeh was hassling ppl at a jumpgate.... and locked me up as I was transiting that region of space..... so a friend and myself tooled up our ospreys and chased him off..... anyways.... we were jumped on the way back to the station by Rixeh and 2 of his corp buddies and I got podded (1 thorax and 2 blackbirds go "dakka dakka dakka" my osprey goes "BOOM"). But I DONT have a problem with this..... its was PVP but wasnt indiscriminate.... I got put in my place for chasing him off..... and I wasnt killed (tho they could have easily popped my pod).... if they had gone that stop further and actually killed me instead of just shooting my osprey out from underneath me.... well I might have a different opinion of it. Anyways... to sum it up I dont have a problem with PVP, as long as its done for a reason.... and as long as it doesnt go too far (i.e actually being killed for no reason)
