In the short time you were with us you enhanced the realism and immersion of our test server experiences and warmed our hearts with your whacky and provocative nature. You showed us that eve could be interesting and maybe even "fun". Your vibrant and inspiring live was cut tragically short due to CCP drinking the ESRB Koolaid. You will forever remain in our hearts and minds, gone but never forgotten.

I like how the image censors something that doesn't actually need to be censored since there were no nipples nor cameltoes nor bush to be seen to begin with.

Youtube killed the video and bannned my account. I am seriously debating weather or not I should "nuke it from orbit". I think taking youtube offline for a few weeks might teach them something then again it might just make them angry.

If there is one thing in the world I hate from the bottom of my heart, it is the current hipocritic state of affairs in the balance of nudity and violence.
Some people seem to think that murder, ****, torture and things that can be shown on TV, but a pair of ****ing **** or OMG ***** are not.

Now that it is clear that CCP has little to no intention of allowing nudity in incarna despite the outcry and support for it I am facing a touch choice.
You could go back to WoW...from what I understand there's a UI mod that makes everyone naked, you can have all your desires met in WoW...if you'd just go back there and try it out...

Ok, The EULA states that this game isn't for kids anyway, so I wouldn't have a problem with it.
that being said, the last thing CCP needs is a lawsuit from some ****ed off mother in California who swearers her child was pure and innocent and turned to gangs because of nude spaceship pilots.
We have enough problems with trolls

Whats my beef is the fact that everyone sings about peace and love over war, then we're riddled with people getting gutted like fishes, but a pair of boobs is a taboo.
Especially in internet spaceships where anyone who havent learned to distrust strangers is a potential human wreck after a scam that took his hard earned (Or e-bay'd) stuff and left him in a gutter without a clone, and all skills unlearned after being podded in that state.
Especially when those boobs are barbie style.

Hope they arent planning on making their World of Darkness MMO rated 12 and under.
No nudity in a vampire MMO is like making a counterstrike game's guns all shoot rubber bullets.

Aww c'mon i mean you can get as nude in age of conan and there is no such issue like here.
P.S: not that i like to see nude ppl everywhere ingame but at least give the option to wear something as revealing as a bikini (as the old WiS images show the exotic dancer)

I have to say I share you sentiment. One could argue that there was not even any nudity in the video. If I were to make a youtube video of me undressing a barbie doll there would be the same amount of "nudity" and "sexuality" in that video as the one I uploaded of a eve online glitch. Why is there videos on youtube of people getting postate exames and people getting ***** inspections but nipple free barbie doll boobs is suddenly high ****ing treason!
On that note what is the big deal with boobs anyway. They make milk for children... When a mother is breastfeeding we don't burn her at the stake and say she is doing ****. Well normally we don't.
CCP is by many respects a truly great company. However I constantly find myself regretting my investment of time and money into them when they do stuff like this.
I will say it again. I Quit World of Warcraft because it was too childish and monotonous for me. I came to eve because it was a big open world that players could dictate a community relatively free of snot nosed little kids. A world where I could god forbid identify as my pilot and feel a level of immersion never felt in other games.
Then CCP starts passing around cups of Koolaid and with delirious smiles on their faces and glazed look in their eyes they chug it down.

The problem with society today is the lack of "naked time" with members of the sex of their choice, not too much of it. Let's face it... you're much less inclined to go on a murder spree after seeing the female track team out practicing topless.

For just a moment, i believed a game heavily populated by 25-50 year olds would have an 18+ rating.

They've already said in an interview WoD will have the same rating as EVE, meaning 13+. I have no idea how they're going to pull that off, blood is kind of important.
Really confuses me how so many game companies fear the ESRB. They hit the last GTA hard with strict ratings, and it still had record sales. If anything, all the extra press helped it.

Yeah youtube has been very strict on nudity ever since 4chan decided to raid it with ****. For some reason "Trucker's delight" is still up on it for reasons I cannot even begin to comtemplate...

I'm sure they exist, but i wouldn't say there's lots. All current MMOs cater to 13-18 year olds much better than EVE, while the average gamer is in their mid 30's. What the industry needs is a game designed for the adult majority.
Some company is going to do it eventually. It's just a matter of who.

I got good news, I just finished playing around on the Duality Server and I found a way to make the nude bug work again. I made a new character then I toggled cloth/hair feature and switched the quality from low to high then to medium then to high and then toggled clothing and tadaa!
So our beloved is not dead after all. I will be submitting a bug report as well as a detailed video on how to replicate this bug.

I played Age of Conan for several months (for those that don't know, that game was infamous for having topless female characters). And honestly, it wasn't a big deal at all.
I mean, in the early levels you'd sometimes get characters running around topless with a loin cloth, but really, that fits the IP pretty well. And when gear actually started to matter is was very rare that you'd see a boob at all. We didn't stand around a circle jerk over each other ****. We murdered each other and screamed a cussed at each other and generally carried on like an average MMO community with rabies. The fact that the game had **** was largely ignored.
The AoC community handled the boob issue fairly maturely in my opinion, and the Eve community is far more mature than the AoC guys.
TL;DR past experience suggests that nudity in MMOs is a meh feature.
