So I was talking with a friend and I began to wonder...
Why do Industrials have so much CPU? My Bestower has more CPU than my Rattlesnake.

Back in ancient times they were going to do an industrial-specific module that did special stuff no other ship could which I cant remember exactly what it was. Anyway, they didn't have the technology to put in "X can only be fitted on X ship" in those days of yonder, so they instead planned to make said module use an ungodly amount of CPU. Thusly, industrial ships were given high CPU amounts to allow them, and only them, to fit the module. The module never made it into EVE, but the industrial ships high CPU remains as a testament to what could have been.

a refinery module, to be more precise.
