Hello all.
I am new to the game and have limited drone experience; what I have is confinded to mining as that is my profession. My question is this: I see several posts referring to people using 13+ drones and want to know the skills to arrive at this number. I have Drones 5 and Drone Interface 3 (training 4) and I can't see how you get more than 10 having maxed both those. Can someone please clue me in to the skills and how they influence drone total?

Dominix and Vexor are two of the few ships that give you +1 drone per [level of ship type skill].

Other drone skills of interest are heavy drone operation, which allows you to use heavy drones (and increases damage), plus scout drone which increases range. A large amount of heavy drones will open up a big can o' whoop ass on an opponent that isn't set up to deal with them (personal experience - I just killed a hostile cruiser w/ my thorax even though he had me jammed the entire battle w/ my drones alone).

Thanks for the info Kai. I have thus far trained all drone skills to lvl 3 save for Drones which I have at 5. I have read several interesting threads pertaining to using drones for combat and such and found them very interesting. Someday it may be an option for me to use them for combat but that's aways down the road.

Dominix (Gallente battleship), Vexor (Gallente cruiser), and Arbitrator (Amarr cruiser)

Nasty ****ers thos eheavies be. Mining drones don't do much tho unless your using named or elite mining drones. Otherwise, use drones for protection.
