Attention Urail Shareholders.
SHSG will soon be putting up for vote a buyout offer for Universal Railways.
We feel this will be a fair and profitable offer, with the best intentions for shareholders and Urail as a whole. Please read, respond, and most importantly VOTE.

What is the current situation with URAIL and what plans do you have for it in terms of taking the company forward?
Also, is this a competitive buyout, and/or will you be open to bidding in partnership?
Edit: By which I mean, is this your private initiative, or has URAIL placed itself up for sale?

This buyout idea was put before the executives of Urail. They referred the matter to the shareholders for a vote.

That doesn't give too much away  . Is the company still operational in terms of possessing assets and retaining personnel?
If so, it may well be in the shareholders interests to see the company offered for competitive bidding and public offers, to see who can offer the company maximum isk and management value going into the future.

As a shareholder, I have received no communication, and there appear to be no open votes atm.
Thus I have no idea what is going on. Would appreciate if someone throws more light on this subject.

I've heard nothing back as of yet [people actually have things to do on a Sunday except play EVE!?!]
Hopefully in the next 24 hours I will receive some information on the personnel and asset situation within URAIL and be able to make a decision from there.

I'm sorry for the late reply to this thread (and to Liberty), busy schedule and all.
Universal Railways is still operational, and still have both pilots and assets. Business has been a bit slow this month, though.
Stealing Honest approached the executive-team with a buyout proposal, where he was referred to the shareholders. That is, Universal Railways has not put itself up for sale (meaning this is Stealing Honests private initiative), but we're open to the possibility, pending our shareholders opinion.

shareholders are likely to tell you that they want the best value for their shares, in most cases means a public offering and not a private buyout.

Thanks for the replies all, i couldn't reply yesterday i was out of system.
NO vote has been sent, and after talking it over with a few advisers, SHSG will NOT be making a bid for Urail after all. Urail is a great corp run by great people. We at SHSG just wish to go in slightly different direction, and will be moving in that direction this week.
Sorry to waste your time.
