Of course he hasn't learned yet. He's a young character. So you guys invited a noobie to your corp, and then killed him when he failed to live up to your standards...really? I mean, what did you expect? How many people who are what would be reasonably considered "pro pvp'ers" (STFU Aydala..you suck, and so does your corp) were good when they were noobs? His mistake was a classic noob mistake: Every noob wants to get into the big bad ass ships they see flying around as fast as they can. They don't understand that just because you have the skills to fly a ship, DOES NOT MEAN you actually have the skills to fly a ship, and when you tell them this they don't want to hear it.
That's something they need to learn. But what you did was just plain dishonorable. If you couldn't stand him then boot him and point him in the direction of those who can properly teach him.
Heck, maybe send him to Eve-U.

Although i'm all for killing noobs who mission in lowsec and/or mining and even though i view scammers/ corp thieves as asssholes- to me its just another game mechanic.
But for 3 characters all 2-3 years old to destroy their own corp mate who is a total noob(and probably would get ganked eventually) to me is really ****ty.
Yeah there are noobs who are bad and will not listen to a word, but to get ganked by your own corp mates who you fly with?
I can see reasons why you would do that- maybe if he insulted you guys, or maybe he took things he shouldn't have taken then yeah, most of the time he should be kicked from the corp-
but to gank him because he didn't listen to YOUR opinion's of what fits are best....
my opinion of this, he's a new player to eve, guide him- dont want to guide him then kick him.
Turning to something else- Crime and punishment seems to have turned into who can do the most degrading thing to other players lately, and although I do enjoy reading some of lonetrek salvage threads, and even some of xenuriaÆs actual tears thatÆs been extracted from her current victim û key words here æsomeÆ û I find that I genuinely enjoy reading threads by new players to eve- even if its only a thread about how itÆs their first rifter kill, or their first thorax loss, I enjoy reading their view of this cold and heartless game, unfortunately imho flaming is ruining c&p lately though.

He's had plenty of chance to learn, we've given him AMPLE opportunity, we tried to guide him with showing him first hand, with linking fits and explaining mechanics to him, for months to no avail. He even asked for tips then disregarded them.
"Use active hardeners!"
"What if i log off, then they'll turn off"
"Don't log off then!"
The issue is not that didn't have chance to learn or that we just ganked him for lulz, but we gave him the opportunity, the knowledge, the capability, and he ACTIVELY chose to ignore experience from those who have played the game for years.
Just ridding the genepool of another idiot, one idiot at a time. :)
You feel sorry for the poor bastard, by all means. I won't lose any sleep, that's for sure.

I have to agree with the majority so far, not the way to help a corp mate, kick him out if he is stubborn, warn him, 'you will be booted' cos you don't want his bad play on your corps records.
Killing his 1000,000,000 ISK ship and then podding him, a twelve week old character, corp mate, he probably spent 8 weeks getting the isk together..... anyway, killing him to teach him a lesson, podding him, kicking him from corp is great for a corp thief or spy but for being a corp noobie....
Even lowsec dogs don't do that to their own.
At 12 weeks, I bet he still didn't understand the basic mechanics of the game.
I suppose this thread gets you the audience you want....

Between Apr 2010 and Jan 2011 there is zero combat (PVP) for this toon. Was he a miner, a sleeper, a missioner, a trader, was the account even active, I really don't care, the point is before JAN 2011 the toon has a big fat zero on combat.....
War Dic*ks would be a more fitting title for your Alliance, why not accept your bad teachers or you made a bad call, either way, who cares, you fried your own player, you made your mark.

Disgraceful. Really say's it all. A simple kick from the corp with an explanation saying you couldn't use him due to his inability to listen. The Goons treat their own better than this, that really say's just how terrible your crew is. I doubt even LSS would resort to this and they simply live for the tears. Then to brag about it seems a bit distasteful doesn't it? I am all for people playing their own way and corps having standards they feel need to be met. I am all for turning people loose who can't meet those standards. Like this though is just really silly. I'm sure you all think you did the right thing though.

While this was an internal Warsmiths corp decision, I understand it. Every time I would log on this guy would ask me about his fit/brag about how awesome his mach was. I told him multiple times that I don't fly a mach, so I can't really help him with his fits, but he never listened. I tried to be polite, and deflect the conversation to something more interesting, but he always brought it back to the mach. I couldn't imagine being in the corp with him, he was annoying enough being in the alliance chat.
And to remind you all, the kill actually counts against us on our alliance killboard, so it wasn't all for the killmail. Kills like this are punshiment, not for killboard-boosting.

Posting it in the public forum as a kind of trophy killing, is in my opinion at least, done in poor taste/ judgement, it serves no purpose except to show how callus you guys are to your own corp member(s).
If he were a thief, we would be shouting well done or a spy caught, but by their (op)own admission it was done because he was a dumb noobie that did not listen to the wise monkeys......
