Two days ago a war declaration from The 0rphanage alliance went into effect against CVA. This war declaration was part of a much larger campaign in which 12 major alliances were also declared war upon. The war declaration was devoid of reason or communication and can best be described as an opportunistic campaign without strategic goals.
During the last two days 0rphanage forces amassed some 234 kills against their collective targets. Among the vessels they destroyed were 10 CVA ships (4%). The 0rphanage suffered only 20 losses during their campaign. Of those losses, all 20 were inflicted by CVA vessels (100%).
CVA pilots will continue to strive to make Providence a haven for all peace-loving pilots, but New Eden can rest assured that our pilots will also patrol the Domain region and other parts of the Empire to remove opportunistic pirates like the 0rphanage from their ships without pause or mercy. No one can go against the will of God.

Surely an organization like the 0rphanage would pose no threat to the Empire, right. From what I hear this group of capsuleers are particular to the market hub of Jita, and are very rarely seen venturing from beyond that system.

I have met such behavior before, when I was in W-BR and I-RED declared war on us without any demands. As soon as their fleets possessed no threat to us, they resorted to guerrilla tactics, pirating on stranded and industrial vessels.
I really doubt they will come to Providence, keep your heads up and don't let them pirate on you easily.
Good luck in this war. --- We live and die for the State |

You are correct, they are no threat to the Empire.
However that does not imply they shouldn't be brought to justice. A single thief similarly poses no threat to Dam-Torsad, but I can assure you that justice will be delivered swiftly when that thief is caught. We are merely doing our small bit to ensure law and order rules the Empire.
As for where 0rphanage conduct their operations, if you take the trouble to peruse public records they clearly show that all 20 CVA kills and 10 losses took place in Domain. ____

We are dealing with the same situation here in Khanid and Querious.
I haven't checked the numbers yet, but I highly doubt their war has resulted in any signifigant losses.
I hear they usually like to prowl around high-sec systems where they can peek out from behind the skirts of CONCORD every so often to take a shot at the unwary.
Let their accounts bleed dry supporting these multiple war declarations.
As always, we Khanid will take a stand against piracy and criminal actions. As always, we will prevail.

Just for once I find myself in the uncomfortable position of agreeing with the Amarrians. Just because an organisation doesn't have the ability to seriously threaten the nation you serve, doesn't mean that if they declare war on you you shouldn't try your very best to defeat them anyway. |

I think there's more to this story. It is likely that a 3rd party has hired Orphanage to declare war against the CVA. At the minimum a 3rd party has likely paid for the fee to declare war.
Regardless, keep up the good fight.

Reasons are as follows 1. Because we wanted to 2. because its fun 3. Its been a long time 4. because we can
Does there need to be any other reason for pew pew? to much politics not enough killing for the fun of it.
Ps. thanks for fighting back! Its more fun when targets do.

after years of oppression and slavery taught us one thing its how to fight and not to care as tomorow may bring wealth and power though disrution and salvage... is the only way as CVA is learning now at a return from Adopt to 61.64% for the war so far! -------------------------------- http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1370931&page=1 ------ |

Even when one declares war for a reason as shallow as fun, your alliance could still be civil enough to actually communicate the reason.
As you might be aware, not everyone here declares wars 'for fun'. ____

They declared against us as well, but seem content to hover around high-sec trading posts and do not venture into deeper waters.
I should thank them actually for showing me quite efficiently which of our pilots need culling for losing ships in high-sec. Saves me the hassle of having to waste time getting to know our brighter new pilots from the dullards.
And neutral remote-reppers? How gauche.

Normal to let the decs auto drop but it was 01:30 so i needed some sleep. Yes we retracted only to then turn around and dec 20 other alliances. http://ad0pt.evekb.co.uk/?a=home -------------------------------- http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1370931&page=1 ------ |

Hmmm, the Orphanage tactics remind me alot of an older Capsuleer organisation, the privateers. They used to be a real pest, declaring war at any opportunity and with the silliest of reasons. In the end, they crashed and burned when Concord altered the rules of highsec wars by increasing the fee.
