It will be automatic when the patch is ready. Just wait until the server comes online, then the client will download the new patch.

Once the cluster is back up the client will jump up and let you know there is a patch avaliable. Let it download and follow the instructions it provides. You might need to close & reopen the client for it to notify you of the patch once the system is live again.

Does anyone know if they will ever release a 3D version of EVE, or if it is possible now? I would love to stretch EVE in 3D over 3 screens....Ty for the info.

A 265 (I think) runs EVE loverly, gets reasonable frame rates on Duality and such. It's the same generation as the GT 240 just a shade more powerful/more RAM/whatever. So yeah, latest drivers to cover yourself and you're golden.
Now me with my 9400M powered laptop? I'm going to feel the pain. :(

OK, so you never heard of Solaris and you don't know what an E450 is or what it is for. Don't fret about it. You can always go search wikipedia and pretend like you know in internet forums.
As for your naive claims about your games computer being a minimumhalf way to perfection (if I may paraphrase you) it's actually rather easy to get a moderately specced PC to run faster than yours. One just has to know what one is doing and where the bottlenecks are, and you evidently do not. Graphics and throughput are the main performance limiters in the EVE client. Graphics is not too big of a performance issue as it can be configured to suit within the client, leaving throughput to be addressed by the end user.
Your disk throughput, for example, must be atrocious. You have your OS - a particularly disk intensive one but we're stuck with that - on the same drive as your application binaries and game caches. That's nuts. Your PC will be performing at best half of what it's capable of - and all because you've got it set up so badly.
Here's some tips:
Get an SSD and another spinning disk. Install EVE on the SSD, but link the cache and config directories to the secondary hard drive. This will dramatically improve your performance at moderate cost. Do not even consider installing Windows to an SSD. That is a big mistake that will start well and very quickly degrade. Microsoft are yet to claw their way out of yesteryear's spinning-disk underworld and are not yet ready for the teleporting demands of 21st Century SSD.
With your available RAM you could always copy your EVE installation into a RAM disk, of course, and get the best throughput, but this is always something of a trade-off as you will have to effectively backup/restore your "local" files every time you boot. You can script it, but it's still a trade off - much the same as the trade-off I make by using enterprise-grade storage (which, out of pure ignorance, you seem to think is not as good as your measly single disk).

My advice would be to keep checking the forums and now and again fire the game up and see if the autoupdate is ready.
I would not advise you to download patches that are not from the specific EvE-download link here <<left panel<<
