Sorry, but FFS CCP
Sort this out...
Its total stupid and a waste of time looking for ANYTHING decent
75% of things are scams...
So remove ESCROW and come up with a better system
Or give WARNINGS AND BANS to people who pesist in doing it
And YES...i always inspect before I buy, but its becoming a complete waste of time.
Nice idea, poorly implemented

Right CLick>Inspect is getting boring tho, everytime you do it these days it's a shuttle instead of a raven or 1 tritanium instead of a Tachyon Modal Laser....
I agree, with O're to an extent. It is getting pointless trawling through scam after scam, and no-one has ever scammed me.

Maybe they (CCP) should apply the same taxes and broker fees to escrow now?
I seem to be seeing alot more items for sale on escrow these days just to avoid the taxes and broker fees.

I had a nightmare last night, that i was looking at stuff on Escrow and instead of clicking Inspect, i bought the item which was worth 200+ mils, woke up in a cold sweat D=

Escrow really sucks atm. Just too much scamming there. I don't know if there's any limit for orders that escrow is showing but I'm trying to sell bpc's and I can't even see my own orders. I'd like to use market but as most of us know, I can't. Maybe some escrow limit for users? Max 10 open escrows at same time?
Someone must fall for those scams because scammers keep doing it. I think very few of us are so incredible stupid that they buy shuttle for 117M as Raven. I think main reason is that "inspect" and "claim" choises are way too close to each others and ppl are buying stuff by accident when trying to inspect them.
Something needs to be done. Escrow is good thing but we need to get those scammers out from there. Ban, ban and some more ban! And ban for main chars (scammers are 99% alts). If content isn't what description says, BAN.
I don't have anything against guy selling Caldari Shuttle for 117M if descriptions says Caldari Shuttle. And if someone still wants to buy it, so be it.

As a very heavy user of Escrow, I agree with the sentiments that the current Escrow situation is fundamentally FUBAR.
Several observations:
1) Scammers have been allowed to degrade the credibility what could otherwise be a very useful system of trading and item transferring at a distance
2) Scammers are allowed to ruin the gaming experience for others - and in fact - are encouraged to do so, not only by game mechanics, but also (for reasons known and understood only by themselves) by CCP.
3) Scamming on escrow could easily be discouraged, if not eliminated, by similar mechanics now employed in the market
4) BPCs are not allowed on the market - for reasons unknown - thus Escrow is vital to a BPC producer, otherwise there is no other scalable way to market the goods
5) The logic of maintaining Escrow in its current condition is similar to the logic of providing no graphical differentiation between BPO's and BPc's, i.e. non existant.
I enjoy the game immensely and will continue to do so. I hope, however, that these obvious fixes to the gaming experience are not overlooked in the near term.
