In many ways the war showed what is really great about EVE and in others the absolute worst.

No other game offers such massive conflict.

But...

I hope next time there is a massive conflict like this; RMT and botted ISK isn't the deciding factor and CCP bans whole fleets of players who use exploits to win battles no matter who they fight for or with. And next time round the protagonists don't use DDOS attacks on websites, forums and teamspeak servers.

So, now they seem to be victorious to a degree (the north yes not yet actually fallen), by bringing the biggest blob of supers Eve has seen, a support fleet to match, and a blue list that rivals it.

I love the irony.

Dont get me wrong, you have done well, you have done something that many have tried and failed to do. Just dont gloat, it took the tactics you hate to defeat the people you hate for using those tactics.
I will be inetersted to see if NCdot, Goonswarm, Merciless and co will hold the north and do exactly the same things in exactly the same way as the people they say play Eve wrong.

However, those numbers are horribly out of date and are not of the NC, but rather the NC blue list. Being blue doesn't mean they are NC, your inability to understand this is unexpected, but not surprising.
(The goons were not obligated to help out "the NC", let alone commit the scaps required to save it.)

To correct that list you need to remove TEST and Goons (-10~12k they are DC, learn2read), actually add your self and the pets (nc./evoke) to the DRF (+6k). There is also the addition of rage/me crumbling fairly early on, with ME losing half it's members after the theft and rage losing 2/3rds. (-2.5k) Then you also have the explosion in numbers of the DRF it's self, with xdeath alone gaining over 2k members and little Raiden. doubling in size (+800), not to mention the inclusion of WhiteNoise(dot). (+1k)

This gives you a [very] rough number of 37k (NC + guests) vs 34k(DRF + pets). But still, even looking at it like that you should know as well as I do that raw member count is a horrid metric to use for anything. If we could have an alliance channel count every hour that you could then average over a week or so, you could make a much better estimate of an alliances strength.

Numbers aside, DRF was making ready for war for some time. With a strong supply of scaps (how, I care not) along with the pilots across the TZ to use them, it was your fight to lose. We just threw random fleets in to break up the monotony.
(I'd welp a fleet any day of the week for a few more corpses to add to my DRF party collection \o/)
