What do you think if the Eve added a new feature of being able to buy SKILL. Purchase an implant the would add a skill that you were planning on training. Waiting for like 20 days to train...or purchase an implant for $400 Million isk. The Isk would be the same as waiting for the time. Insted you spend the isk to buy the skill. You could pay direct for the skill...real dollars to support keeping the Eve Staff employed.
Idea 2. Have a Space Vegas with real Casinos... spend isk and play the games. If you win you get the Isk added to your account. Comments?

first point comes up all the time.. forget it, though I would be in favor of a Plex to re-spec attributes deal.
Second Point - Eveonline Holdem (sp) or some such is out there and plays for isk and are legit, I'm sure there are dozens of others

Make up your mind, is it supose to be isk or dollars? In either case, its a terrible idea. Also, I lost the game.

First up I dont have a problem with them selling skillpoints in a cash shop but with that being said I can see why long term players would.
For me (and this is coming from a fairly new player) the way the skill training is now really puts a hamper to me playing the game.
I find it hard to understand how one person say has only been in game for 20hrs but had a active account for 5 months can train and be fairly advanced but player 2 who has 100hrs but only had his account active for one month and be 4 months behind player one.
Now that being said I can see the advantages for people that dont have the time to game and where the devs are coming from.
What I would like and this is just my view and am sure this has had 1million threads before saying the same stuff but here goes any way- It would be nice if there was a in game skill multiplyer that increased skill traing by say 10% if you A) spend so many hours for a week or even a day in game or B) do a line of quest (say like a daily or a weekly or some sort of quest chain).
I have no problem with the lenght of time it takes to train skills.
The thing is I have been holding off writing on this topic untill I get more time under my belt and still have a open mind on the situation but it does get to me that you(being the player) can never catch up (using that term loosely) no matter how many hours you put in the game.
Any way I have 2 weeks on my first month (after the two week trial as well) so I will probably review the game at the end of the sub and see how I feel on the subject then.

No No No No No, you are looking at this from a PVE'er perspective young sir, I am a very old player with new toons, yet i don't have to the time to play during the week but it's a different matter at the week as im all PVP. The way CCP has skill training sorted is perfect i just wish they didn't get rid of ghost training :(

You should love it as a new player. Any idea what would happen if they allowed people to buy skillpoints? Hint: I have 14 billion isk sitting in my wallet and I'm not even that rich. It would benefit OLD players with isk, not new. Oh and it would benefit people who throw real money at the game too. --- Drykor - AHARM |

Attribute reset is already part of the game. Never accept a skill reset!
If I understand your post you are advocating the return of learning skills via implant? The book form skills were already removed once..why add them anew in a different form?

What I feel should be added for the older players:
1: More Tech3 ships. Only make the skilling trees for these ships more intensive, not just subsystem1,2,3,etc. Make Offensive, Defensive, Propulsion, etc have subskills that are related.
2: Right now we have initial skills and advanced versions of them. There should be another tier of skills available afterwards at related higher skill ranks. This would give older players something to skill that will be honorable (and available to anyone who wanted to specialize at the same time) resulting in balance as well as a new roof for 80+mSP toons to move towards.
.... I guess that was all my ideas.
This allows for EVERYONE in EVE to still be able to compete without giving old players "Super SP Ships" and allow for older players to skill into something they are interested in instead of just finishing the long carrier skills, or skilling into a niche in the game they didnt have much interest in.
Im only @35m SP and I level 5ed most all my gunnery and missile skills that have any merit.

No, Eve takes time. If you want to "power level" buy a high sp char.
