This seems to happen predominantly when the EVE client is running in a minimized state.

Same issue I'm having.... thought it was related to multiple clients running at once, but was definitely warping, usually on auto-pilot, with client minimized when it crashed

Having lock-up issues.... just started today after patch. Dual boxing (2 clients on one pc) just when i start to engage rats... system completely locks up... almost as if it was out of memory...3 times today... never had issues before. |

Same here. Like posted above, common elements among all my CTDs have been multiple clients running simultaneously from the same EVE folder, the client that crashes is minimized, they were on autopilot, and it seems like it happens often immediately after a jump into another system.

Confirming I've had countless crashes today while alt tabbing. I noticed it more during system changes rather than warps, but I was cyno chaining around. It's a bit unnerving when your JF client becomes stuck outside a station because the minimized client won't pull back up but is still active and logged in when you check the other toon. It doesn't close quickly either, even task manager takes a few minutes to kill it off as a non-responsive program. I did a time test on it, it's faster for me to hit the reset button on my PC and do a full reboot + relogging than wait for the client to close and relog. How fail is that? Thus far you shall read, but no further; for this is my sig. |

Same thing here, plus i get disconnected from audio constantly; been having to minimize and use google talk, which then eventually crashes the client... The game crashes seem to be random in my case though. It doesnt always happen if i minimize, and sometimes even when i do not minimize. It happens mostly during warping (has even happened while sitting in station), but i think this is still a random occurrence since warping is one of the most common things you do. It's happening to my friend too, he lost 6 Hobgoblin II's.... total fail.

It takes a while when you close an unresponsive program with the "end task" button. To speed up the process of getting rid of the task, you can open the task manager and kill the process "dumprep.exe" (from the "processes" tab, not the "applications" tab) which is dumping the contents of the EVE client's memory to a .dmp file. Using "End Process" from the processes tab is immediate, where as using "end task" from the applications tab goes through the motions of dumping the memory of the process before killing it.
For those of you that keep crashing, try clearing your cache if you haven't already, lots of problems with this last patch get cleared up with clearing the cache. Since this is a crash, I would take a look at this page: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Reporting_Crashes, and look at the section titled "Application Crash", which is a little different than the regular bug reporting. Maybe they can pinpoint the problem with the crash dumps better. - [SERVICE] Corp Standings For POS anchoring |

This is still an issue after the 1.6.1 patch. Same problem, crashing on autopilot while alt-tabbed out of the client.

Same issue here. Especially getejumps in minimized mode seem to crash the client. The recent update 1.6.1 did not fix the problem.

Edited by: Tu Ko on 08/06/2011 08:40:32 I crashed to desktop 6 times on autopilot from amarr to jita. All video options to the floor, cache files cleared first with Esc menu button, then by by hand, this included all bulk data, settings, logs and even saved fittings. Nothing helped, the client was active, ontop, running a single client with the EVE Monitor thingy running.
Crash locations Amarr to Outgate :crash when landing on grid, When logged back in the freighter was aligning to E-war adn could not be canceled. To my susprise instead of warping to random safe it warped me 26 AU back to the station undock.
Mid Warp between two gates: The monitor's object count spiked from 358 objects to 1000K+ objects and died. this happened two more times
After jumping into Perimeter and aligning to Jita gate, Session timer had ended, grid was fully loaded, after getting to nearly full aligned client crashed. When I relogged the freighter was idle at the jita gate. (which was weird cause it shouldn't have made the entire trip in the minute it took me to log in)
Jumping in to Jita, attempting to load grid.
Computer in use quad core AMD 2.7 GHZ, 3 gigs of ram, Nvidia Geforce 8500GT. Can someone tell me in the monitor widget thing saves logs anywhere
Ninja edit- It crashed while docked attempting to open a General Freight container with items in it

Confirming crash post 1.6.1 I was autopiloting during the crash and window was minimized with Alt+Tab. for now I set eve to windowed mode and it works in the background while I do other stuff and it didn't crash yet.

This was happening on the test server prior to the latest patches. Should've been fixed prior to release.

Patched today and still having the same problem, minimized and autopilot = crash every few jumps - seems to be when having jumped through the gate most of the time.

Still crashing on minimised clients (have 3 running) - seemingly when they jump at a warp gate and I have had it happen at a mission warp gate as well. Have installed all patches as they have come out |

Having dual eve clients running causes my PC to shut down (not just the program to crash). This is a new problem since patch 1.6.

Getting the same problem, I think, as Copperhopper. BSOD with BCCode '1A'. Seems to have come with the latest patch, the one that was supposed to fix crashing.
