Originally by: Silas Cooper There's a difference between being realistic and having a decent discussion about the ship, coming to the conclusion it's good in parts and bad in others (and perhaps agreeing to disagree) like we did, and rushing into the thread guns blazing calling everyone an idiot and stating the Sac is fantastic and can win every fight (which it isn't and can't), like you did.
Show me where I said that :)
It's rather difficult to label 3 consecutive days a rush by even the loosest definition of the word, the only person who's even used the word idiot (repeatedly) is yourself and no such claims were made - by anyone. I presented an alternative view point on how I deal with the situation you brought up. That by definition constitutes a discussion. So far you have dismissed suggestions put forward by others that are not aligned with your own, been sarcastic and derogatory.
A discussion requires concession from multiple parties, please make some.

having been stuck on a laptop for the last six months my pvping has been non-existant. I was never an uber pvper even when i was fighting more often
having said all that it just comes down to the same thing over and over again with the sac, namely:
Why pay for a t2 cruiser hull when you can buy 5 drakes for the same iskies?

Hacs and recons have never been as cost efficient as bc. In fact hacs are the cheapest they've ever been, there was a time when they cost 220m and the t2 fitting added another 50m to that. As a general rule, bc have made pvp more accessible really but it comes back to the previous point. People are happy to commit a bc to a fight because it's cheap (~30m after insurance).
Hac/recons principle advantage is their speed and agility. It often means the difference between living and dining in 0.0 and evading gangs in lowsec. A drake will almost certainly be ganked in the first gate with 4 bc it goes through, the sac will mwd to safety. The other plus is it's tank, it rivals a cs with a smaller sig and better speed.
If you don't like committing to a fight; which requires confidence in your own ability, the ships capabilities and fitting, then it's not for you. A zealot/vaga/ishtar or a number of other than fight at range would be a better choice. Still, they're all more interesting that 5 drakes imo ***The EVE servers and their patches***

The biggest issue of Hacs is surely related to the Overpowered BC's status.
Let's see Battle-cruisers vs Hac's, strongest points making hac's, witch are expensive cruisers less interesting choice:
Agility - check Speed - check Tank -check DPS - check Utility high slots - check
Can you see any good reason to fly hac's other than base resists kin/therm higher than bc's? Pretty sure any other BC's than Gallente (exception made for the Autos/trile rep Myrm), double rep/cap booster can do same job for 1/3 the price tag of hac's

Before the moon goo changes and at the height of the Ferrogel exploit T2 cruisers where a lot cheaper than they are atm, you could pick up logis for about 40-50m and most HACs and recons for 80-110m.
I know people where cheating but those prices where pretty damn sweet.

Bonuses are fine, but I'd say it's fair to swap it's high slot for a low, been thinking about posting that suggestion aswell to see what replies one would get. It's "utility high" isn't really much use due to pg
