Fer-de-Lance is a deadly poisonous snake, indigenous to South America, iirc.
I personally think anyone coming against Fer De Lance in game will come to know this same fate.

Yeah Fer De Lance was the bounty hunter ship in the original elite, which was quite hard but not when you had all military kit and smartbomb ftw.
It also means 'Spearhead' in french and is the name of a bad ass South American poisonous snake with an incredibly fast strike (all the ships in elite were named after snakes).

fer-de-lance (fĕr'-də-lăns') , highly poisonous snake, Bothrops atrox, found in tropical South America and the West Indies. A pit viper, related to the bushmaster and the rattlesnake, it has heat-sensitive organs on the head for detecting its warm-blooded prey. Usually about 5 to 6 ft (150ű180 cm) long, the fer-de-lance may reach a maximum length of about 9 ft (3 m). It is gray or brown with light stripes and dark diamond markings and has a yellow throat. Common throughout most of its range, it causes many human fatalities. It is classified in the phylum Chordata, subphylum Vertebrata, class Reptilia, order Squamata, family Crotalidae.
And I hear he's good on a bike.
One thing I can say is these guys know thier stuff. Now someone hire them to go after Evol, those slimy bastards.

PS. When were talking about snakes its Venemous, not Poisonous. Poisonous would be like, you ate it and died... Venomous would be it bit/stung you and you died... Sorry I'm a snake guy and an obvious nit-picker.

I just realised that I wrote bounty hunting instead of "hired gun thing" which is what I meant to say... oh well I guess it could work either way... @ lian, I've always been a Venemous kind of guy, never fancied corns so much(but I love them all).

venemous snakes are really hard to come by in Holland, and most people who do own them take lousy care of their snakesbecause deep in their heart they are scared something may happen. Do i'm not keen to deal with those people anyway, its a shame for the offspring but I dont want to encourage them. I hope you get what i mean anyway
