I have done missions as long as I have played Eve, but I have never done the AE bonus room alone out of fear of losing my boats. Now I am thinking I might give it a shot with this boat. WIll it survive?

1. Omni damage from the rats. Think you get more EM than typical Angel damage IIRC.
2. Kill the towers. If you can alpha out the towers quickly with your arties the dps drops considerably.
I did it in a plate/resist Domi with an Oneiros but your 'strom seems to tank about 1k to typical Angels so maybe if you drop a pill too it will be about the same?

I would suggest an ab. The way i do this in my mach is to fly strait up, killing frigets first, then missiles. I'm not sure if a mael woudl be fast enough however.

What you need in there: -range - poor T1 AC don't have it. If you go close and personal on that initial wave you are going to melt. That is why you need Artilleries for your fit, you can shoot the buggers before they have the opportunity to apply full DPS at close ranges. -speed - definitely need an AB so you can dictate range. Can also help you mitigate some damage.
At warp in aim your guns at towers (cruises first), send the drones to kill webbing/painting frigates. Once you've eliminated these it gets much easier.

I have done the bonus room in a Maelstrom before but with T2 autocannons, you need Barrage to take out the towers quickly. You can use artillery to do it, but the first several pockets before the bonus room will likely go slower that way.

I used to do the bonus room in a mael, too. But I had T2 ACs with Barrage loaded. An AB helps.

If you want to try it:
1. trade a gyro for a dcu 2. use 1200mm (two groups of 4) 3. on landing target frigs and cruise towers 4. turn on shield booster 5. move away from the group to keep kiting distance 6. kill frigs 7. kill cruise towers before they get out of range 8. kite the rest

soloed bonus room in a single rep 4 hardner 1 dcu domi
tactic - warp in mash AB target station order orbit at 60 km , lauch med 2's kill frigates (all I used was a single flight of med 2's and 6 dual 250 rails), and kill stuff at leasure
