Can someone explain why the rarest of planets give the same material the most common ones have as well?
Example: Plasma planet pretty rare but doesnt have anything on it that the others do.... how does that make sense?

Ok so why do starters need to make robotics?
If that's the thinking why can't starters do 10/10 plexes in jita... not bashing your response but just pointing that out.

"For starters" = "To begin with", not "for new players".
And Akita is quite correct: it's not what individual materials a particular planet type has that matters, it's the combinations of materials that matter, and what kind of installations you can place on the planet.
Plasma planets have a highly valuable combination of materials and allows the full range of installations required to make use of themà so it makes sense that such a valuable/user-friendly planet is rare.
