Most MMO's have a-holes in their forums and also many people who think they are witty and smart when all they are...are a-holes. However, Eve has them all beat in this respect.

Lol , checked the meta game lately? The current Super Cap fleets does not need any support fleet because of it's sheer size. When a reported sc fleet has 150 supahs and 70 titans, there is little you can do but bring the same or more scs yourself. Now use that little peanut and think how they got all those scs, the "massive amount of resources and time to build"certainly are not holding anyone back.
To be quite fair, nobody has yet displayed the balls and competence to try and :iskwar: a sizable super-cap fleet with a massive dreadnaught armada. CVA had the best shot that i'm aware of, but they botched it hard.
That isn't to say they don't need to be brough down a peg, but the issue with expensive ships meta-gaming is that only a very select few use them with impunity like PL, Raiden, and a few others. Most hide them until victory is already assured and then the inevitable steam-roll looks all the more imbalanced.

In the same way massed bombers act as a counter for massed battleships we need Heavy (Cruiser) and Super Heavy (BC) bombers to deal with capitals.
