does a map of the entire universe of Eve exist? I'd like to print out something to pin up on my wall which has as much detail as possible. Regions and possibly important jumpgates, or constellations..
It has to be really big :)
The only thing I have found so far is a map which has the war zones in lowsec space. but it's quite small.

there is a standalone program of the map. it is on www.eve-i.com. but i think it has been having some problems today. check out eve-i anyways. tons of stuff...
also, you might be interested in looking at the latest Alliance map. you can find it in the Corporations and Alliance Summit forum stickied to the top of the list...
there is a fine, but dissasterous line between a fart and a shart. i suggest you make sure which side you want to be on... |

The Alliance map is the one I was referring to. I'm hoping someone has gone to all the trouble already of taking the screenshots and assembling into one big poster :)

good work - id like to see CCP take up an idea that 3 new systems would be added each week ? or 10 new systems in each patch ? slowly expand the game world as more players join ? nothing extreme it would be about a 0.25% increase each month but just enough to keep players exploring new systems - perhaps some outer systems to explore ?
Dunno new base types - rare items and cargo goods (like to see more tradeable goods) something just to keep us moving around and looking out for new stuff
That said a fully independant map would be useful to

Magnus. If you're after making a huge map youself, it might be easier to take the Eve map data (look through the old dev blogs) and write a program to do it.
I tried it in .NET a while ago, and got upto 16000x16000 pixels before my machine died. Although IIRC the map is very off centre. Centre being around the middle bit between Caldari and Mimitar.

as far as Ollo and his suggestion to add more space.
Dont get your hopes up yet. I'd say not before the next major expansion Kali hits us, and maybe far after. And tbh, its not needed yet by a long shot. things are just getting interesting now that we have a bigger number of players competing for the resources then before.
If CCP has amde one thing clear from the start, then it is that Eve is to be a game of competition between groups and individuals alike. Creating more space to use as soon as people start feeling the pressure of a competitor for some type of resource isnt goona be theri favourite thing I'd guess.
