Does the hacking skill let you hack the passwords on secure containers that are anchored in space?

Hacking us used along with a codebreaker module in [mostly] RADAR cosmic signatures, found with scan probes.
The only way to access the contents of an anchored, passworded container is by knowing (or guessing) the password. Guessing the password can be a nigh-impossible task however, as passwords (like ship names and other ingame texts) may use the full unicode character set, alongside their potential length. --- ISD IonCharge Lt. Has there been any thought of changing that?

If you could hack secure containers in space:
- We'd have hacked them all by now - No-one would use them any more

It was already changed enough. Anchored containers that aren't actively used will eventually be removed by the cleanup code that runs during daily DT. While they are actively used, the containers are as secure as their password, as they should be since allowing any random joe with a few SP invested into an anomaly exploration skill to bypass it would completely invalidate their only purpose for being in the game.

Yup. If there was any way to hack it other than basic social engineering, no one would ever use them, as they aren't completely safe. Doesn't stop me from trying a few basic passwords, as well as some data I find about the corp who dropped them every so often. Never know, I might get lucky and take all that delicious juicy ore...
