Today our corp discovered that while jamming that the jam cycle was variable times..
I always expereinced that if i had a success i would jam for the full 20 seconds.
Today a GM told me i was wrong... Just because i had a succesful cycle did not mean i jammed the target for the 20 seconds.
I was getting experiences of 5 anbd 6 seconds of jamming, confirmed also by my target...
Is this true, did i miss something. I have always till now had succesful jams, jam the full cycle..
Please confirm..

As far as I know, the chance to jam is variable, the time of a succesfull jam is not.
On the other hand, I'm seeing a lot of jam-rage threads so perhaps something has changed ?

This is what i am trying to confirm, i havent seen it in a patch, but it appears to be its passed through.. I dont mind. It just means i will have to very my tactic to compensate. EG i wont be staying in close, which makes my rook a paper weight , cause if i am going to be at range i may as well be a falcon.

Just want to confirm a couple of things.
Were you being jammed by NPC?
Cause they don't follow our rules and may or may not be bugged at this point.
Also were you being hit by multiple jammers?
The second Jammer might be obscured by the jamming of the first one.
IE Jammer 1 Jams for 20 seconds, 5 seconds later Jammer 2 hits, 15 seconds later Jammer 1 finishes, you see Jammer 2 with 5 seconds left.
and further more why do i even need a sig? |

If you land a jamming cycle, you jam for the full length of the cycle (20 seconds)
