Snoopy Come Home has to be the saddest thing I have ever witnessed in an animation.
I was bawling like a little girl at Snoopy's going away gathering, and that song by Charlie Brown broke my heart.
Definetly not a kid's cartoon as the theme of severed relationships is something all adults have faced at one time or another. But then again, PEANUTS was never really a "kid's cartoon."

This is the saddest thing i've ever witnessed in a comic strip.
Yeah, it's not by the original guy, but that doesn't help much.

As a psychologist that worked with kids with school issues, yes, doubly for me. I still miss the days when kids just were kids and most issues didnt have 7000 indicatives to diagnostics in the DSM-IV and CIE10 plus "appropiate" pharmacological therapies. --- Viva VENEZUELA!!! Archipelago Theory

I have no idea what you just said
Then again I grew up in the 80s, back when watching Wile E. Coyote strap his ass to a rocket and crash into a wall wasn't believed to make me want to go on a shooting rampage at my school

I grew up in South Africa, I didn't just get spanked... there were shoes, pieces of wood, sticks, rocks, long strips of fabric... I think I turned out fine

saw this at a very young age and never forgot it. and that's not a bad thing.
it is a kids cartoon. cartoons can be more than ******ed japanamation with no plot and story.... once upon a time we used them to convey humor to adults and kids alike, and every now and then we used them to teach kids important lessons about difficult subjects in a medium then could both relate to and not be afraid of.
kids become adults. we're supposed to prepare them for that. i think snoopy come home should be something every kid see's at some point.
