Jita Pricer007	Posted - 2011.06.13 14:11:00 - [1] How is it fair that everything in this game be nerfed but a guy can get paid to log his computer on and leave for the day with his toon in a sov space all day cloaked. There is no way to scan him down or anything. CCP Please for the love of god give me a prober that will scan this to unbalance this terrible flaw in the game, hell make it have a timer like scanning moons. With all the bad things happening to null space and such its becoming less and less profitable to live in such an area, when a cloaky afk pilot can sit afk for several hours then get on after going to a movie and dinner with his buds and light a cyno in a system when he gets home for the black op gang. Let us fight back! Make the game fair in this aspect.

This is what, the millionth thread about this bull****? if a guy is AFK, he is no risk to you whatsoever, by definition. If you bring in counters to afk cloakers, you might as well remove cloaks from the game entirely, as said counters will be abused to make blackops gangs worthless. tl;dr, ignore them while they're afk, get soem mates and fight back when they're atk cynoing.

Activate the module, burn a horrible amount of stront and have it disrupt cloaks in the system for ~5m or so. Keeps stealth alts on their toes and it's not exactly an "IWIN" button, as they'd still have to be scanned/probed down.

It's always impressive to me that the 10 or so people that constantly post "NO!!!!!!" in every idea thread are incapable of comprehending that there are many others that don't agree with them. Just because there is a thread made about afk cloaking, an issue that annoys the hell out of a lot of player, it doesn't mean that it was me. In fact i have never and will never post with any character other than this one. Also, "if they are afk then they aren't doing anything" is a really weak argument considering most people argue that afk cloaking is used to "subvert local" and if they couldn't do that anymore then afk cloaking would disappear. I actually believe YOU have made that argument in other threads. So which is it? Further, what they are doing is irrelevant, it's the fact that anyone, including myself, is capable of activating a cloak and walking away from the computer with no risk, be it to subvert local in hostile space, or because im too lazy to log in every time i want to play.

So therefore i need to kill the nuet so i can go on botting. NERF THE BOTTERS

Not only is he not getting paid for disrupting your bots but when looked at realistically the afk cloakers are literally paying thousands, if not tens of thousands, each month to CCP. I strongly urge CCP to investigate the isp addresses of any account that supports this idea for botting and rmt activities

Second, you can leave the system and go about your business elsewhere. Third, you could also go about your business in the system with the guy that is cloaked, he isn't a threat until he uncloaks. Once he uncloaks, deal with him. And last, I think the only people that whine about so called AFK cloakers are running bots and want to go AFK themselves. I don't want my cloak nerfed so you can run your bots without risk.
