Usually when a business or company fails to perform or to fix a problem promptly and professionally they reimburse their customers. Seeing as all LulzSec did was perform a simple DDOS attack you guy retailiated by bringing down your entire program, which was a non-professional decision. So CCP, what's our reimbursement going to be?

OP fails hard. CCP did the best thing they could do, if you don't care about the security of your credit card info, then that's your decision. Don't speak for the other 99.9% of us who LIKE that CCP MADE SURE TO PREVENT ANY PERSONAL LOSS. Sounds pretty damn professional to me. Good job CCP

You may want to read up on what a "simple DDoS attack" is, the scale involved and how for example, it's often used as a distraction for intrusive security breaches, before you say such ridiculous things.
CCP's response was the professional response to an attack.

While i disagree with the OP, Im 100% happy the way that CCP dealt with the situation so kudo's to them...
But... regardless of the situation us as paying customers did loose the ability to use something that we pay for, so there is some room for a small return.

you sir are an idiot.
they did EXACTLY what they should have done. a DDOS attack can be a prelude to many other things. i commend them for the steps they took to protect not only themselves but me as a customer. the downtime overall was neglegible when compared to the risk to both of us.
Even if they had not taken the system down you still would not have been able to play.
next time you want to say something like this please do us all a favor and go play in the middle of a busy intersection.

I'd say 5 hours of additional game time added to all active accounts.
They're justifiably paranoid after LulzSec hacked Sony and got all the PS3 network user data, so when they saw an attack beginning, they pulled the plug. This way, they got to make sure that YOUR user data, including your credit card information, address, etc, didn't fall into the hands of some jerks doing it "4 t3h lulz", who may or may not use it for their own personal gain.
In other words: CCP did a fine job protecting our user data. If that interfered with a few hours of gametime, tough. Find something constructive to do.
