pretty much sums it up. I'm on a quest to sample everything in Eve at least one.
My current ventures have lead me to the deepest parts of WH space...pretty epic.
I've never tried FW. I have no idea what it's about. Can someone give me a basic rundown?

FW Wiki Info
FW Basic Q&A Info
For a tl;dr...
- FW is basically a massive wardec that pits Amarr and Caldari vs. Minimtar and Gallente - your character's race has no bearing on the side you can join - you need minimum standing of 0.5 to join a particular faction's "militia" - cooperations can join FW but need a collective minimum standings of 0.5 to join a particular faction's "militia" (alliances can't join) - "enemy" high-sec space is off limits to you (you will be attacked by the NPC navy) - all the "fun" happens in the low-sec pockets between the various factions' high-sec space _______________________

Good day, NinjaSpud:
My understanding (and I still consider myself a newbie in FW) is that you become a part of one of four factions based on race (though the race you join, not necessarily your toon race).
The faction is like joining a local militia where you agree to take up arms (typically your own) against the enemy militia members. In so long as you are in FW, you are at permanent war with the opposing two factions (Amarr/Caldari vs. Minmtar/Gal). You will be shot at by the NPC navy (which is not concord) if you enter enemy high security space.
Militia members of the opposing sides can shoot at you without incident; and you can shoot at them as well (no concord, gate guns, station guns, etc.).
You earn ISK through FW missions (which pay far higher LP than high security space missions) as well as other methods. You typically live in low security space near where the action (combat and missions) are located.
http://evemaps.dotlan.net/ has good maps showing the faction areas space.
http://www.factionalwarfare.info/featured_articles/ may be helpful if you join the Minmatar faction warfare.
Thank you.

You run a godawful amount of missions with your stealth bomber + inty/dramiel aggro alt, pay for your account for years and fly around DRAEK. ...Then when you stopped to think about it. All you really said was Lalala. |

is there any good money in FW? I come from a WH, my idea of good money is a 45 minet op that will earn you 130mill in 45 min. (but only do it once every two days)

You can make isk by either 1) Running FW missions and converting the LP as per any other missions (FW stores have FW unique items and some items are cheaper then other non-FW stores) 2) Shooting someone with phat mods that drop (this could be a non-militia member if you so desire - going gcc is NOT unknown...)
Some of the benefits are that you can use small ships to fight in low sec since no gcc = no insta pop from gate/station guns. You can also get some reasonably large BS fights from time to time, sometimes with cap escalation or roaming gangs. Some of the issues are it is hard to catch SB mission runners and the plexing mechanic is kinda borked so plexs don't spawn after a while until the next DT... Also, there is no meaning to the sov ownership, meaning the fights are only for the sake of the fights, not to earn something (unlike in null sec)...

Easily in the 120-140 mil per hour bracket. More if you are LP store savy.
Plus you do them in frigates. ...Then when you stopped to think about it. All you really said was Lalala. |

The money is definitely good, but when you're using t2 fits and fun fit frigates etc why would you worry about the PvE side? Just grab some frigates and pals and go nuts :d
