Quote: The Sisters were originally founded as a neutral aid organization during the Gallente-Caldari War. It later served the same purpose during the Amarr-Jove War and the Minmatar Rebellion and firmly established itself as the main humanitarian relief agency in the world of EVE. The Sisters have a number of bases scattered around, almost all of them are located near popular trade routes, yet outside empire borders.

Aren't the Jove supposed to be some super advanced race? I would think a war with the Jove would be a guaranteed deck wiping with your race.
When I think of the Jove I think of the Vorlon race from Babylon 5. So far advanced that they have no choice but to look down at the rest of us mere mortals.

Quote: The Matari chose this moment to rebel against their Amarrian masters. Uncannily well equipped for slaves and high on morale, they proved more than a match for their demoralized Amarrian captors. Faced with losing their grip on the Minmatar, the Amarrians had no choice but to redirect their entire military force to the home front to handle the rebelling slaves. To this day, rumours circulate that the Gallentean Federation secretly outfitted the rebels with weapons, ships and supplies.
MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
Typical Amarr arrogance to think they could trade punches with the Jove.
They have nice stations though. They will make a nice collection for the expanding Gallente Federation someday.

We still have our fleet in your home system, you can't even conquer your own Empire let alone anyone elses.

We had 'issues' with the Jovians but on the positive side - developed some excellent 'running away' skills in the process. Remember to buy your 'Jovians kick Amarr butt' poster to put in your CQ using Aurum.

Akira Samposeppa said "Hehe, the jove litteraly wiped the flor with amarr." Hardly the Jove did embarrassing bad considering the advantages they had and took a stupidly amount of loss's when it should have been an easy win. Going by how bad the Jove did if there was a full's scale war I fully believe the Jove would have lost and the only reason the Jove won was due to the timely Minmatar rebellion. The Jove are not as powerful as people think. Most of its misdirection and propaganda.

Yes, it was not our greatest moment.
The events after the battle lead tot he minmatar rebellion and thus the loss of potentially billions of souls that could be saved...
But God works in mysterious was and through the trials and tribulations of the last upheavel we have learned many things and have become more powerfull then ever!
Time to try again? Perhaps, but Amarr move slowly and forget nothing.
PS: In that time we didn't even have capsuleer tech (came from the jove) so getting our asses kicked was pretty much guaranteed! But we did it with style and glory! ------------------------------------------------- A friend of death, a brother of luck and a son of a *****

Somewhere I heard that when originally conceived EVE was supposed to be Babylon 5 online. And the Jove are the stand ins for the Vorlons. For some reason the tie-in to the show failed so the names were changed, but the structure remained: 4 main races, one super race, small ships use gates, big ships can jump themselves, etc.

The Jovians haven't attacked anyone since Vak'Atioth so their victory was clearly phyrric.
The rest of the cluster owes the Empire a very big thank you.

For what reason would the Jove want to attack anyone? They have bigger issues... like how to survive another generation. ~No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously.~
