So... a brand new expansion is being released in 4 days and all we get is a few blogs about what it is like and a neat shinny page with no details NOW WITH COUNTDOWN CLOCK!!!
WHERE ARE THE PATCH NOTES? CCP, are you telling us that you do not have a list of what is being changed in game with a major deployment happening in less then a week? Please don't treat us like console gamers and give the community patch notes Incara 1.0. Thanks broskis, much love.

Lol, that would not surprise me. Preliminary patch notes have been part of the process of eve development since I can recall- I honestly am not trolling and this is messed up man.

Visual reminder of what the OP is referring to, it's a nice page IMO, I'm not sure why the OP is unhappy about it, it gives enough detail ..... change is good

It offers a brief synopsis of changes. The patch notes are an entirely different matter and contain far greater detail. 3 days and no patch notes is pathetic. ~~~

Yeppers. Spank is right, it is troubling to not see patch notes right before a expansion.

Changes to the market, UI, station mechanisms, agents, new player experience, graphics, fixes, models, API interaction, ships, sovereignty mechanics, Assets & Items, Character Portraits, evegate, Localization......
these were all taken from the headings of previous patch notes. These are all applicable to changes being stated to occur once Incara 1.0.0 hits.

So far this is the best troll of the thread, I tip my Aurum purchased Gilded top hat to you sir. Would be nice to hear something from ccp about the patch notes- I'm not complaining about all this weird station stuff (other then that joke), but to not offer notes is taking the player base out of the expansion input entirely. CSM delegates do not represent most of the eve population, heck not even most of the PVP sub-pop. This is not some hotfix afterall and sets a serious precedent for future major changes in gameplay- do not be tricked by the sleek "features" page some xbox game would be proud to call their own. Edited by: Kuronaga on 19/06/2011 05:43:42 Well, this "expansion" basically just shows you why CCP doesn't charge for "expansions"... they have no real content most of the time, just a few partially finished features that might account for a small bit of any other competitors retail expansion.
That said, at least previous ones could be called good "content patches" as far as things went. Having two of those every year certainly isn't anything to turn ones nose up at. But. . . where's the content? You get bored of CQ in like five minutes. That leaves, what. Turrets?
What was everybody else on the team who wasn't a part of the graphical update doing? Team BFF was making tiny revisions at least, what about the rest of you guys?
Incarna is supposed to have its own, massive team dedicated to it that doesn't even touch the spaceship game so that's not really an excuse either.

lol, congrats, you get the prize.
While clearly not serious, I think you've just solved the mystery of why so many people who play EVE are too ignorant to upgrade their machines.

posting on a troll tread
It has been posted else where that the finished list will be posted on Monday after down time. As the bug list is still long for easy fix game play bugs only. I expect at least two more builds before deployment.
Having green text on patch notes is fun but I'll just wait for a full list.

and the amount of bytes in the patch has what to do with the how complex the patch notes are? hmm, mr IQ?
content wise the patch is everything but huge. we had far more content in patches earlier and even in thoose larger content patches ccp managed to provide preliminary patchnotes and update them as the patch day came closer.

You can't have and the cake and eat it, you know?
Seriously, the update to the graphics was much needed and has been ongoing ever since. You seriously, Shirley think they could AND introduce wormholes AND new station/ ship graphics at the same time?
That one room is, hopefully, yes yes I know, we are very very skeptical theses days, a first step stone to bigger stuff. Like after the ships came planets (awesum) and PI (totally not awesum).
And it is huge because it will, for good or bad change, after they manage to add more then 1 single room to it, EVE for ever.
Oh fekk it, bitter bitter bitter. All doom and gloom. If you quit can you send me some of your stuff?
need more bree!

I'd love seeing more station stuff right now (e.g. the mentioned bars or whatever). But let's think about it: They're essentially adding the whole base for the expansion that will be deployed over the next months. The first batch just contains more background stuff than actuall playable stuff. I agree, they might have been better off delaying this update and adding more at once, but anyway it's not THAT bad having some small changes immediately. The walking/rendering stuff is there now, so next batch they can concentrate on more locations and being able to see other players. Their main mistake was probably adding unfinished assets (like untextured panels and such stuff) and keeping that state for several weeks. This lead to the impression it took them those 3 or 4 months to design those quarters only - which isn't true. It's not just about modelling that room and add it. Also having new turrets and some updated ship designs is a nice plus (hope they'll update some of the older minmatar ships next).

Navigator, thanks for giving us a timeframe for notes. But we want to be involved in the development of large changes in gameplay. Honestly a guestimate style patch notes which change during development are MUCH more welcome then just getting them while downloading the expansion which changes our game. That is truly the problem- the lack of true community involvement. -

I can wait for a detailed uptodate patch list since I tend to read them while waitng for deployment to finish. Hopefully the forums will not be down as well that day as I like to update my reading on the posts.
Side note: Reading the posts in this thread I find some people getting worked up about the release of patch notes - the same people that go into other threads and namecall, belittle, tell people to go .. etc on other posters for having the same passion/emotion about their topics - too funny ---------------------
