Feedback, comments and suggestions by in-game mail or on Evanova's Blog would be greatly appreciated. Please be kind, all the time I spent writing it, I didn't roam null sec and bubble you!

On the help screen when the tablet is rotated from portrait to landscape the buttons in the left fragment bounce around (API keys help, About Evanova, blog link). Running Honeycomb 3.1 on a Galaxy Tab 10.1 Beyond the minor error I really like the layout of the program. I was thinking of trying my hand at writing a tablet app for android but you beat me to it, and probably did a much better job then I could have. One function I was thinking of adding would be a fitting tool, like an EFT in Android. and of course the mail API. Edit: One other minor thing, the skill groups still appear, even if you have no skills on that toon. It was a bit confusing at first :)

I have myself found a few bugs here and there, that I am fixing at the moment. Noticeably, the Market Orders screen on the tablets version doesn't change from buy to sell orders when you select the action bar buttons and some performance fix on some screens. Yes, your assets should be there, displayed as a grouped list (they are a little small as Baleful Scarr pointed out). There are no rules about donations set in stone yet. That's all I can say ;-). But in all honesty, I would pay the 99$ license anyway if needed be, the time spent on Evanova goes far beyond that price, and the feedback is priceless!

Now, it's only because I don't have access to more accounts and there is no hard limit set by the application. I would not recommend having 20 pilots on a HTC Hero, but Honeycomb tablets should have no problem handling quite a few. And when i go to the market.android.com website and search for it, it tells me that it's not compatible with my tablet. Tablet: Superpad Android version: 2.2 ( which is the same for my phone which does install it. )

I have just pushed an update on the Android Market, with bug fixes from what you all wonderful pilots reported, and made it more obvious if you are using a limited or full API key. I also added some documentation about not being able to import keys: most of the time, it boils down to unmounting your SD card before going back to Evanova. In all cases, please report any detail you may have about unsuccesfull attempts on the Evanova release page. Thank you all for your great feedback, suggestions and donations. This made me update Evanova before I get into Incarna! Inconceivable!* *does this word means what I think it means?

There is! It is just under the Character Info part, and that is probably why you don't see it :( Do the menu buttons show on your device? (Assets, Orders, etc.). Character stats are empty (0 ISK, etc.) but my API keys are fine. - If the "Reload pilots" menu button on the pilot list screen doesn't seem to do anything (you have to wait a little, and this can take a while on 3G), try re-installing the app from the market to make sure you have the latest version and data. Viewing pilot attributes (small devices): - When on the main pilot view (the one with the menu buttons), click/press the panel on top of the one showing your current training. It should open a new screen with your attributes and implants. Many other panels are clickable - keep on clickin'! - For example, the corporation icon on the main pilot view leads you to the corporation screen right away. With notifications what is the difference between one for pilot and one for all. Also what does it notify me about? - Notifications pop up when a training queue is about to complete(less than 24h). - "One for all" will produce one notification regardless of how many queues are expiring. - "One per pilot" will produce a notification for each expiring queue. Note that the notification system doesn't work as I would like and is getting a major overhaul in the next version. Thanks for all the support and help from everyone. You can contact me via [email protected] (jabber) for debugging if you like :) Çdit: I can't find it in the market, but when I try the link from Appbrain, the market app opens Evanova but then tells me the app is not compatible with my device.

Couple of issues.. 1) On screens with icons at the bottom, like gallery or corporation, the icons at the bottom overlap. 2) When you remove characters, their corp icons are still listed in the "Corporations" screen. 3) No screen rotation, vertical only (by design?) 4) Character potraits in the pilots list screen could be higher res. Same for all images really on my (pretty large screen) phone. 5) Phone "Settings" button does not work in the currently training skill page . Doesnt really matter but not sure if it should or not. Keep up the good work! And a widget would be the icing...

This app is a LOT of work (most evenings for roughly half a year) and your API keys are stored in there. I don't want a rogue app written that could steal any of the data, and I don't want people cloning my application easily without my approval. Until I know exactly how to block things for certain, less information is better. Now the good news is: I've worked out those details, and the next release will NOT be protected on the market (yet obfuscated) and the APK should be available for downloads. Talking about the "next update", I might update the application before enabling the in-game mail feature as it has lots of bug fixes but the mail is not in the shape I want it to be. Lack of time will tell.

I was actually thinking just that yesterday. I will probably limit the server status updates to when the application starts and also limit requests with an arbitrary cache time. However I am surprised that the app uses the network too much. Server status updates are basically the only automatic updates so far, unless you have an invalid API key lying around (status updates are also very small in size). I was going to implement an automatic pilot update, but in light of your feedback, I am not sure it is the best route to go. At the moment, pilot updates need a manual trigger but that seemed to cause some confusion to some users. I could also have a settings option for that, but I don't want an asplosion of options. What do you think?

It did not use a ton of data just some people in the states have really ****ty data plans... namely AT&T customers and have to pay for data after 500mb a month so less data is good data! Manual should always be an option. Then settings for Like Skyk said would be awesome! Not sure if you can do it but sell orders would be nice, and a delete corperation option, as I have 9 characters on 3 accounts but only care to see corps for 3 of them.

The next version should be a little less hungry network-wise and besides automatic key imports, nothing will be downloaded automatically. I may add those timed option later. I will add a "Delete corporation" button. Actually, it's already there but hidden ;-) an "Add" button is also planned for later. As for Market Orders, you can switch from buy to sell by hitting the Market Orders screen title (next to the icon) on small devices or use the action bar button on tablets.

All I can answer to your requests is yes, and yes, and yes ;-) I have been thinking about all this, but I need to balance performance and bandwidth against informational prettiness. Character, corps, alliances, stations names are in my plans but I am not not sure how to tackle those ATM.

The cool thing with the fitting tool through EVE Universe, it's a cross between BattleClinic & EVEHQ. Another cool thing with it, you can choose which character will be piloting the ship, to give you accurate stats on the ships performance. That is a feature I am going to miss when I switch phones. I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7", and despite being the Phone interface the app works great. If I change my LCD Density to 160 It shows and uses the Tablet Interface fine, but to use this Density messes with the Android Status Bar among other things. The Standardised Density that we Galtab7 users usually change to for tablet use is 182 (best compromise between size and working features, any lower and the built in apps start playing up). So, if possible, I was wondering if you could change the Density requirements to show the Tab interface up to 182? No phone I know of uses a Density this small, (I could be wrong of course, although I do hope not :) ) and that would give us GalTab7 users a much better interface for our size device, and much better overall experience.
