Many people already know, but a goon diplomat Sean "Vile Rat" Smith, was KIA in Benghazi. (http://themittani.com/news/rip-vile-rat)
What if this weekend, in memorial of a great EvE Player (One which I never had the honor of meeting, sadly), instead of the old idea of shooting at stuff, remote rep the monuments in the four major trade hubs? Anyone can join in easily with a cheap T1 or even a civilian module, and in my opinion it'd be a slightly more respectful way of honoring him.
My main question is if anyone would be up for this idea; I myself would be starting either early in the morning (1-2 AM eve time) before going to sleep, or as soon as I wake up, and personally, I think it'd be a great way to also let others know of the loss of EvE that don't already; I wouldn't have known myself and nor would my corp members if I hadn't seen a post on tumblr.
(Might edit post for some details if there's a big interest in this)
TLDR: Would others be joining me in remembering/showing condoleances about the loss of Vile Rat by using logistics mods on the monuments in major trading hubs?

Great idea. I think RR would be a better way to remember his life than shooting things. I would have to use my alt as my main is negative 5.6 :( |

As far as I know, that's PvP fleets from all sorts of people who go pew pew in some of the most expensive ships they can get :P
