On a more serious note, however...
WIS is something I've seriously looked forward to over the three years I've been playing, and although I now reside in W-Space, and therefore have no (current) use for this feature at all, I'm still extremely disappointed at the lack of communication from the Devs to their community's questions and concerns.
This patch might turn out to be explosively impressive, but I doubt it. I have zero 'zest' atm.
Patch notes would help. Teaser trailer would've helped. Pics on the features page that we haven't seen a million times would help.
Edit:
Being able to change T3 subsytems at a POS would definitely do the job, but will it happen...? HD Character Creation Videos - http://www.youtube.com/user/LexHiram?feature=mhsn |

And the items will cost a part of a plex and really how aint that microtransactions spawning a item that in the end gives ingame money.
I'm glad the Post-er above me could parse out that response. This dude sounds like a supporting cast member from 'Deliverance' ! ************

Well if Incarna is walking in a room on your own and your deformed character (yes even today on Sisi it looked like that) without even a pet to keep your company .. after all the nice fanfest vids with bars, corp offices and stuff .. it's indeed an anticlimax.
It's disappointing. I'm sorry to say so.

I will wait for Incarna before I get excited.
Whatever the hell this expansion is, it is not my Incarna.
Incarna was all about walking in stations, metting people and comunicating. This is just a new Station UI painted in only Minmatar Colours. I was laways excited about walking in stations because it meant face to face meetings and seeing the Universe and what goes on inside those Stations. The Wonder of connecting to the Universe around you. Not a Room, a Room that no one else can enter adds nothing to EVE.
They should change this expansion to whatever is Latin for One Room and role out Incarna when they have Incarna.

Cheekbones of an orang utan, what did you expect?
Edit: the glow in the nostrils is quite funny though.

Pilots in ships are in their pods. What is so difficult to understand about that?

When they are piloting that is... perhaps, while parking in a safe spot, they could leave the pod and fraternize with the crew... Edit: you heard it here first: supercap "ganglinks"

my plan for after the patch is to hit esc and turn off the station environment. please say they keep that option as without it running 6 clients around will become problematic

I am super excited that I will be able to disable the new feature until it's more than a dollhouse.
I started playing EVE for the PvP (markets, dangerous and complicated engagements, politics, etc) not because it was a "sci-fi simulator". It's too surreal to sit in a room at a computer while I play an online character who is in a room looking at a big computer screen.

Same here. I like being a character but the transition goes far from smoothly on my PC. Not planning to wait 3 minutes in between every docking attempt.

That will be Infarna, where you can sit at home, playing your Eve AV, who is playing a game of an AV playing some guy in another world playing an Eve AV.

Personally I hope they surprise us with some additional content that wasn't unlocked on the test server.
If you look at the test server files there area actually a few things there that we didn't get to play with during testing.
So I remain hopeful, and prepare myself for disapointment.

Edited by: Etheoma on 21/06/2011 06:09:59 I think that they shouldn't bother with incarna mostly because of the F***ING 10 HOUR DOWN TIME they didn't even take that long to switch over the servers to a new stack and you know they will go over by at least 25% so that's 12 and half hours incarna is dumb and the down time isn't worth it.
also support protest's against 3rd party devs of non profit sites / apps like EFT, EVEMON and eve markets from charges by CCP.

With changes like this... asking money for free stuff
I'm getting a feeling that this is the beginning of an ending, a slow and torturous spiral-

I REALLY hope not. You see the change list? You think they got that gank string all correct and you hope they threw even more stuff on the pile that wasn't tested AT ALL (since we know QA doesn't test)?
No, please just let us make it through the next 5 days...

I GOT DIBBS ON THE CLOSET!!!
Ok, so we have all (most of us) seen SISI and Incarna/WIS. The reports are fairly accurate - I don't think I have seen any inaccurate rage this time around, some emotive behavior but that is minimal to the justified complaint I think.
Now, what CCP should have done was not WIS, but FIP [Floating in Pods], all pods are the same - so same interior, and you are alone anyway so it would be just like the room is, and you could have a mirror... and MTs could be there - you could get custom pod-goo, new underpants or such, stylised bum tubes for when you have to go (to avoid a floater in the potta-poddy (hehe), etc... the conceptions are endless, and it would be a fixed concept, no need to add on - seen one pod, seen them all!
X for EVE: FIP Where no floaters have gone before! - MT 1,000 Aur for a super fecial collector for your pod [it is a space simulator after all right, the details are EVERYTHING, and when you gotta go you gotta go, even when webbed and scrammed!... Maybe More SO!

I'm disappointed in the RP community for their apathy about the immersion-damaging aspects of CQ's implementation. I have no idea why more of them aren't noticing and protesting. My guess is, they're used to being regularly walked on at best and stomped on at worst by developers of other MMOs, so they're content to count their blessings in EVE and not put up a fight when CCP fails to live up to their relatively great track record of supporting immersion and roleplay.
I, on the other hand, am determined to hold CCP accountable to their own vision. |

Edited by: Gwenywell Shumuku on 21/06/2011 12:41:55 PPL said what they wanted, over and over again (optional hangar view), even VIDEOS where made about it (just board/unboard your ship = get in/out of hangar view).
But no, CCP clearly showed everyone that they didnt care, no way they would give in. So what reaction did you expect after a clear "**** you"?
The only reason we have a "temporary picture" is because of performance reasons, not because of player feedback.
