There's more commercials (in whatever form, Billboards though mostly) in most EA games than there is actual content.

Because sitting in front of a PC for hours at a time, day in, day out isn't bad enough for you. If they were smart they wouldn't make it a food service that shortens the lifespan of their audience.

True, forgot about that. I guess I was trying to say that this time advertisers have 'cottoned' on to the fact that there's a 'real' market out there, in online gaming.
Historically, advertising has always been synonymous with F1 racing, so there's a natural and aesthetic reason to include it with that genre of gaming, until recently most other gaming forms online and offline have been largely ignored.

we're already seeing this in games, check out burger king in need for speed underground 2
IMHO it sucks, we're in this for escapism, not blooddy burger king or pizza.

 atleast now EQ2 can be used for something usefull 
most Racing games and sports games have ALOT of ingame comertials adds and stuff, but NO WAY IN HELL my car in Need For Speed Underground2 is using the Burgerking , Old Spice or the last ADD on its vinyl

i can see it now.
Imagine docking at your local station having a button for your local fast food joint. Maybe even a Pizza hut station in every system . Food delivered to your door without getting up off your chair.

Offer Ads space ( billboards, Yulai BB are worth something )
Ask for money !
Then hire few more ppl for developing the game !

Considering I get 50 e-mails a day saying my ***** is too small.. and everytime I open my eyes, I see an ad for something I dont want, need, or have any desire to buy.. It's not surprising.
I just can't wait for the day when technology allows them to stream commercials straight into my brain and record data to be used in their next generation "smart ad" program. You know.. the one that will claim to "only send ads that are relevant to you based on previous perchaces and interestes" and then still sends you super-herbal-viagra spam. Of course, you'll still buy it thanks to the subliminal messages being sent to your cortex from those giant blimp like things floating around that say MCDONALDS or HONDA.. o.O The future is gonna rawk.
On a more serious note, I wouldn't use that "feature" pizza hut sucks ass. They should have went with Papa Johns.. or at least the big D.

Heh, now if only we could get some better selections of food, we'd have little use to go out, save for work.
Gotta say that's a damn effective way of getting customers. Gamers like convience...just stinks only Pizza Hut is doing it.
If I played EQ2, I admit I'd probably use that every other weekend or something. Some people are more comfortable with typing things up then talking over a phone...that or it cuts the need for a phone period! (unless you're still using a lowly 56K)

American pizza I would probably use as insulation for siberian housing, nothing more.
On signatures nothing ever comes close to Dreamworks truly disturbing signature a ways back, hope he got the councelling he needed.

Papa Johns is better than Dominos and Pizza Hut combined!
I was suprised when to see it when I installed EQ2 last night for that Fileplanet demo. Just a sign that games are going too far. And don't worry, I promptly uninstalled the game after a couple hours, just a hack and slash.
Thought this was funny though.
