Very few options for speculation.
High meta scan probes will see less demand.
Warp disruption probes, launches and bubbles will rise in price now they can be used in low-sec. I expect a short term to 30-40k, probably hardly worth bothering with. The effect this will have on intra low sec economy. This can only make the divide larger and further starve low-sec of goods and targets.
Haruo Wako is a exploration site overseer and was farmed source of Corpus A-Types. The loot table mod is therefore probably a nerf or perhaps diversification, modest rise in price given time.
Quite a few minor mission fixes, probably see a little less blitzing but also a lot fewer 'stuck' missions. Modest increasing in income for mission runners and demand for all supplies. Less demand for mission substitute goods, since the demand goods now need to be looted rather than bought.

I didn't see that either in the notes... and that is something I for sure would have noticed... Its a big deal for those who move goods between highsec and nullsec. ---------.oOo.---------- Chaos, Madness, and Destruction. My work here is done. |

So... fix the low sec problem by adding warp disruption bubbles?
On the one hand, less random people wanting to enter into low sec, on the other hand corps that would want to live in low sec can actually defend their space.
COSMOS and high level epic arcs would die, but perhaps people will be more willing to do things like Level 5 missions if they can lock down the system (though, not likely, as you'd just need more pilots for what already sounds like lackluster rewards of Level 5s).
Whereas before I wouldn't mind entering low sec at will because I know how to survive low sec gate camps relatively well, when this went live I wouldn't go in low sec without a cov ops ship or much more scouting. Low sec also, basically, would become just as dangerous as 0.0. Might as well move out to 0.0.
Interesting...

Bubbles in lowsec would be pretty ******ed change. Right now the biggest and probably only real benefit to living in lowsec instead of null is being able to fly around with whatever implants you wish to use. Bubbles effectivly cancel it.

Demand will go up. Judging from folks' tests on sisi, unprobeable setups will still be hard to probe out and you'll want all the bonuses you can get. Plus, the patch allows more than four probes to contribute to scan results.

Sounds like a rumor started by someone trying to sell such items.

Certainly something I'd want to see for myself before taking any action on that rumor.

Scan probes should actually see a slight increased demand, since they're now a near-requirement to scan down previously "unprobeable" ships. As for the disrupt stuff, it was a bug/oversight on SiSi, and I remember some CCP dev's pseudo-freak in a twitter reply (too much data to track, didn't keep a link), basically, "yeah, we just realized, now we have to fix it", so don't bet on it making it to TQ, it almost certainly won't (then again, it might, even if the chance is tiny). _

I think that is quite a small part of the market. Previously it was necessary to us sister probes to scan stuff down rapidly. Now the cap has been lifted it will be possible to use a full complement. While some people will still use sister probes, a lot will shift to T1 probes and at 8-10k treat them as disposable which they wouldn't do with 500k a piece sister probes.
So sister probe demand will likely fall slightly and T1 probes will probably rise slightly.

meh, as an explorer, I'll still use Sisters probes, and I don't really view any probes as disposable as long as I have the "Recover Active probes button". It's not as if it take more than a few seconds to have the probes come back to your cargo bay, even while you're still cloaked.
Sisters probe use should actually go up, as now it is possible to scan previously "unprobable" ships, but it will still be extremely difficult and we'll need every bit of help we can get.

My 2 Cents.
Take the percentage of players that actively 'probe' these mission runners, what is that my guess less than 5% of eve community. with them being 'scannable' all of sudden, this number may jump to 10%, certainly not enough to make an impact such as a massive price spike in sisters probes.
i.e. its not like everyone playing this game has maxed skilled 'probe' & actively uses them.
The mission runners have received the same news, so why would they now risk tengu's etc when a drake/BS can do the job with less isk lost when found.
tl:dr probe speculation is a minor, minor thing imo. The people driving this have probably had a stock of these items for a while & are trying to drive prices up with the typical manipulation threads.
only speculation worth it is going to be the aurum stuff, i plan in buying a nice scarf ___ iCandy Bonds

If the point is to probe out "unprobeable ships", then wouldn't those pilots leave?
Less targets to probe
Less probes needed?
Also, now that all probes add to check, shouldn't you need less?
*Note I know nothing about scanning

Edited by: Raid''En on 21/06/2011 22:49:09 the obvious speculation of the patch will be the begining of the clothes secondary market... lots of people wanting to try stuff without using a plex for this will buy stuff for isk on the 1st days, and for way more than their real aurum value

edit: Couldn't you short something if you had a third party take lots of collateral to cover the bet? Also, isn't normal speculation actually the process of shorting money, in a sense?
