Ok im going to rant at you people for a while. First off the main reason(IMO) that hybrids are not as good as projectiles and lasers is simple, they are MEANT to be the race specific weapons of caldari and gallente, each of whih have a speciality weapon, now I know that right now missiles and drones need tweaking, but the whole reason that they are not as good is they are meant to be used with the races specific speciality, ie drones(gallente) and missiles(caldari). Now it would if hybrids were as powerful as the other weapons, with the racial specials added in then the 2 hybrid using races would be far more overpoiwered than the others, and we would have the amarr and minmatar whining, in other words, no matter what CCP try, there is always ONE who will start another of these threads, now the only things I see that the racial specials need are a launch all of one type command for drones, maybe even the chane to pre assign groups to them, so you can have 2 squadrons of combat drones an one of mining drones, and can launch individual squadrons and command them as those groups, and missiles really seem fine to me, althpough im assured by these whiney posts that there is something wrong, noone I know personally who uses missiles has any complaints, the problem here is not that hybrids are underpowered, but that people do not use them properly, try using your missile launchers more(and btw, missiles are not overpriced for the amount of damage they do if used WELL). This is not a direct flame at anyone, I just think that if people took some time to think things through they would realise that there are ways to use hybrids and still win fights bt if you dont think about it and use them like they are supposed to be used, in conjunction with missiles or drones(or both) then they will suck balls, and not because they are crap weapons but because they are not being used properly.
