With better que skill training practices these days there is no sense in giving us SP when we are currently earning them. I believe we got it in the past because more folks failed at good que management.

Why should they?
Its patch day, everyone sets long skills because this is standard and always will be with EVE.
The skill point thing wasn't invented to gift us skill points you know, so if they do I will be annoyed.
Take comfort in knowing that its probably some pimply faced twit, or 40 year old virgin, who gleens everytime mommy offfers to take them to needle point lessons |

A FUNCTIONING GAME AFTER IT OPENS UP!!!!
This all new 'log on and it works' concept must be the next biggest thing in MMO technology!
No more of the WoW patch and fix as we go along, when we start up, it works!

Why would we need to be compensated in sp if our skills continue training just fine during downtime. If anything we should get the lost time added to our subs, nothing else.

What exactly does giving us skillpoints do? I thought they were gained by training skills? What's the point of giving us skill points - would that not just make it so the number of skill points we have no longer reflects our true skill retention?

Can someone help me understand what "skill point compensation" actually is and why it doesn't does start to more and more inaccurately reflect what skills you actually have trained, or are they basically giving us free skills and then there comes the skill points? If so, how are the skills they give us for compensation calculated? If there is somewhere I can read about this, since I'm sort of lazy, can anyone give me a link or just give me a reasonably short but comprehensive explanation on this issue please?
