well went and installed patch and it turns out i cant play the game due to sm3 well that sucks i have spent a ton of money on this game and just like that i cant play it
this is the biggest disappointment

Take it as a practice run for when Dust comes out. You know, for when we cant play it unless we fork out 400$.

They have gtx460's on newegg right now for 99 bucks, might be a good time to look at getting one so you can still play.

not bad advice.. i bet you can get even cheaper cards from the auction web sites.

Since the made today uses SM5, I think CCp are very good at keeping the requirements down to SM 3

a video card upgrade isnt that much people. You could go to best buy and buy a low profile 50 buck video card. Low power usage, no need for the power connection.

gtx 460's rock. ive got one in my machine. no issues with eve (or hardly any other games out there atm) for 100 bucks in new egg you cant beat em. ..i..well ya could but you would end up forking over more cash. *shrugs*.

What, its a Video card Problem.. ?????? Rediculous,, Im runnung an old Nvidia 240 for cripes sakes.. and it runs Wonderfuly, , althoung, Incarna isnt up yet.. ???

I'm only using a gts250 right now, but no funds to take my own advice. seems to work alright on sisi running incarna, but it doesn't like dual boxing when i last tried it. Going to be a lot of unhappy video cards if the server ever goes live.

I'm playing on a mac book pro, which gets a bit warm, my primary concern is that it might now just catch fire..

well what a **** move married with kids, cant just go out and buy another laptop for a game this computer is two yeas old and cant run eve now so im done with it

Yep, expect a lot more topics like this.
Some of us are on laptops, so upgrades are a new laptop or box.
In my case due to a desktop going boom. thus stuck with the laptop
It's not hard to do the monthly fee, but the new box. With the prices of gas, groceries, utilities and even rent going up. Not happening anytime soon. so I'll take my money elsewhere and enjoy what leisure time and funds I have there.

Read again, the laptop is my spare... now main computer. the gaming rig went up in wonderful smell of burnt solder and electronics when the power supply shorted out and took the mb, gpu and hard drives with it
