Auto-sorting when you stack items. I like it. The only other thing worth mentioning might be the turrets, but I play with all my clients zoomed out, so I can't see the animations anyway.

Edited by: Redents Minion on 22/06/2011 10:06:07 It looks pretty yea. Its different, and it really put the ship you've been flying for years into perspective (with regards to scale) when your on the balcony. Turrets are awesome. However the Vanity items and the massive increase in CPU load are shocking

it is an expansion. People seem to forget how CCP deploy patches these days. Its not like how Shiva or Castor used to be. Where it was one massive patch that caused eve to be down for 4/5 days (yes, the extra 6 hours we had to wait last night were nothing compared to the good old days). They deploy one Expansion over several months, bringing more and more features/aspects of the expansion with each release. Its not fair on CCP to judge the entire Incarna expansion based on the first increment of the whole thing
Don't get me wrong, first impressions... could have been better. but i'm gonna wait and see before flaming like every other ****er seems to be doing

The best thing about Incarna...is that more people are waking up to the fact that CCP realy are one of the worst gaming companies out there....not to mention one of the stupidest...EVE had the potential to be one of the greats, just needed to fix what was there and make sure future additions were polished as well before release....as well as actually listening to their customers, instead of deciding what we want. Instead they lowered themselves to the crass MT crowd in blind pursuit of the almighty dollar.
Never mind....APB reloaded folks...real cutting edge character customization, tons of pvp, freedom to do and say whatever you want...oh, and griefing is allowed to :)

The brown nose is strong in this one...ever played APB ? didnt think so...their devs actually talk to the players, answer question, fix problem right away...yea i know, strange concept right ? Canceled sub...but will keep toons in case a miracle happens and CCP sells EVE or the guy in charge of Incarna gets hit by a bus and replaced by someone with a brain.

The tears that make no sense are the best thing about incarna. CCP release a great FREE expansion, that helps to flesh out the EvE universe. They add optional extras to help you customise your character and immerse yourself more in the game. For some reason everyone cries about being charged xxx amount for a monocle that is completely optional. The whole point of EvE IMO is to have things others don't, to build an empire of assets and have fun doing so. Not everything in EvE is supposed to be easy to come by.
Really though I think the turrets are one of the best features, they now look awesome :D
I'd like to thank CCP for continuing to develop such an amazing game with free expansion and not listening to all the forum trolls that just want to see xxx changed. Keep it up, think of the future, not just the present.

The "expansion" is not free, you still need to pay a subscription to play. The overpriced aurum stuff, who cares about that. It's easily ignored. But forcing people to choose the CQ or a picture of a door when they dock, that's a bad idea. Like I said, the only good thing to come from this first installment of Incarna is the item sorting option.

Seconded. EVE is a great game, sure there's plenty of issues CCP has not addressed yet, but still, they do a good job and I know it'll all be there in due time. Cut them some slack and stop being spoiled brats.
[Edit:] Actually, no, you don't HAVE to pay a subscription. EVE with its PLEX-Trade is one of the few if not the only high-profile game you can really play for free if you do it right.

Totally agree. Playing for free if you do it right ? It is the only MMO I know of (which is worth playing) which enables this. Et cognitus, ergo et sum. Therefore I am, I think. (Drunken Yoda version) Am I thinking? (Very drunk Yoda version) |

The subscription is still getting paid even if you use plex. They aren't player created items, you pay real money to get them and then resell them for isk, so you may not have paid for your sub, but someone did. So my point stands, the game is not free.

"Go back to WoW" - an interesting response considering I clearly dislike the new wow-inspired features that Incarna has brought/is bringing. I think I should be saying that to you, if you like playing dress-up and doing stupid things like walking around a station, YOU should go back to WoW. I want more space combat and griefing than "The Space Sims" in my EVE.
Also I never said I'm leaving EVE. I'm like a crackhead that knows his dealer is cutting the product with more and more garbage every day, but I'm too stubborn to find a new dealer. Same thing with EVE, the expansions have clearly gotten worse over the years, but whatever. I don't feel like finding a new mmo.

Do you pay for the game ? I bet not. Amazing how many people have a free game and still use the money side as an argument.
It is free for me, whether someone else is paying for isk or not is besides the point and doesnt change the fact that a lot of people play this game for free.
Even for those who pay monthly they still dont pay extra for the expansion which is what you would do in Warcraft.
As for CCP being the worst game ever thats nonsense. They make mistakes but Eve is still by far the best MMO Ive played. Ive tried plenty and not stuck with any but have 5 eve accounts as do many others so CCP must be doing something right.

Good point , but if you buy your plex with isk it was someone else who paid and not you , you just played your game and use your rewwards to extend your subscription
Overall i don't understand why all the whining is about , Both the CQ and noble items are optional ..Right ? and rarely do they mention the new turrets or the small fixes as mentioned in earlier posts that were included

That's why APB folded the first time around and is not doing all that hot now. But hey, knock yourself out. Go play APB and many of us will continue to sub to EVE, one of the best MMORPG's if not the best MMORPG on the Internet.

Edited by: Lu''Marat on 22/06/2011 11:26:53 Edited by: Lu''Marat on 22/06/2011 11:20:35 Guys, really, what's the point? I think we can agree that for all means and purposes, you do not have to pay, period. And it's not like the OP said EVE was a heap of dung. (Wait, am I suggesting to stay civil on the EVE forums? You can tell I've been gone for a year and a half, can't you?)
I mean I don't get much out of walking in stations right now either, sure it's kinda neat but right now I have it switched off for redundancy. But still, that really doesn't warrant all the flak CCP gets right now. I'm sure they'll sort it out, and not every expansion or patch can introduce tons of new gameplay content. Anyway, yeah, Incarna... not quite what I expected after all the time but hey... game's still cool.

Mate its simple... if you don't like it. leave. you're not going to change the direction CCP want to take with the game. Incarna is a side project to the amazing internet spaceship game that eve is. You're right, WOW plays who came to eve have been demanding Incarna for years. Incarna is ok, its pretty, its not brilliant but then again neither was eve back in the day. Things will get better. Personally i'm looking forward to playing abit of poker in the station while waiting for a fleet to form up but thats me.
Dude this thread is about things you like in incarna... not for people to whine. if you wanna whine, go to another thread
PS.... I'm also stubbarn as f**k, I hate alot of stuff in eve as well. But CCP are innovative and always interesting. Something most Game Devs have no idea how to be. COD MW3... please *shakes head*
