My system CPU: i7 quad 920 GPU: gtx285 RAM: 6gb 1600 ddr3
before incarna, when docked the gpu was almost dead, low fan speed, low gpu %.
After incarna my pc is not so happy, with one client docked on full graphics with no AA, temperature and fan speed hits the sky, i have never ever heard my pc going crazy and begging me to stop
i said ok lets reduce the settings, which indeed partially solved the fan and temp issue, ps. graphics in station at low settings are pathetic.
but that had a major side effect, it reduced the out of station graphics!!! now thats ****ed up as on full settings, space with my pc runned perfect with 4 clients on and no fan superspeed. to have the graphics on high settings while in space and play the game like we should leaves the only option turning the incarna enviroment off. so much for nothing CCP
my suggestions:
a) Make it possible to change/load enviroment while docked, without the need of undocking as the current system, i understand that this happens as you need to reload the session, lets us have a button that does exactly that, switch from incarna to old style station, with a click(reload) while still docked
b)This is really importand, separate graphics options for out of station and incarna, let us choose to run FULL gpu settings on space and low in stations, atm there is a huge gap on those two modes
c) Give us the old station spin docked screen, no reason to remove it to a wall of nothing

CCP are idiots who dont cap frame buffer (probably not the correct way of putting it). Turn on vsync. should find it caps your FPS @ 60 ish and your graphics card wont melt.
Same thing happened when they released the trinity graphics engine. Incarna actaully melted my mates card.

vsync is on already, problem is that the card is stressed to the limits, and docked i get 40-45 fps, and a super hot gpu

Is it all in a well ventilated case?
Only my mate has a similar setup to you and has no such issues. He has a coolermaster HAF case though - which is like a wind tunnel!

I have a similar setup i7 920, 6g ddr3, gtx260, 120g ssid and I am getting 35-50fps in station. Before Incarna I could get 60fps dockd/undocked on my 2011 mac book pro.

Everyone I spoke to last night noticed a massive increase in GPU temps while having CQ turned on. The average was a 25 degree C jump.
My experience:
30 degree spike within 3 minutes of loading the CQ. Only one instance of Eve running.
System:
Amd Phenom II x4 2.8 ghz GPU-- GTX 550TI Ram--- 8gb Cooling-- 11 total fans in case. Cooling is not the issue
Until CCP fixes the card killing effects of our new jail cells I would adiveseveryone to make sure they monitor the temps of their vid card extremely close. The same can be said for your processor. Reports of massive increases in processor temps have been posted as well.

My temps were initially high 5-10 degrees more than normal, after playing with the settings everything started running at temps I'm used to. - [SERVICE] Corp Standings For POS anchoring |

yes mate, pc is with armor thermatake case lots of room plenty of air, very clean no dust, gpu checked yesterday again clean
I also play crysis 2, and occasionally other gpu intense games, but i have never heard my gpu like an airplane before.
what bother me is that when i dock and go afk or watch tv or chillout , the pc runs at stupid speeds, and when i undock and pilot a shipthe pc shut ups, we need an option with separate gpu options for in station and out of station badly.

Dropped all the settings and the issue remained. Same thing for atleast 10 other people I talked to last night. Thanks for the advice though!

I, also have a relatively new cpu build.
i7 950 3.07 GeForce 460 1 GB 8 GB DDR3 1600 RAM Win 7 64bit SSD
I can run every other game at top graphics and not produce the amount heat that incarna gives off on only a single instance of the CQ. Now, im not a graphic designer/coder but i have seen instances where the textures(or UI) get constantly redrawn causing huge amounts of heat to be produced by a GPU. The concern about walking away from my computer while docked in a station, thus causing my GPU to run very hot for extended periods of time, is not something i am very amused by.
The ΔT from 1 client to 2 clients is actually marginal, though.

Welcome to some time ago - what to do so CQ isn't universally hated. CQ is sort of nice, I guess. But lack of options, mandatory nature = INSTAHATE You guys never listen early enough nor make noise strong enough when it matters. Guess what, even the "(do not) load station environment" is supposed to be TEMPORARY only.

indeed when you lower the settings the temps are fixed a bit, but that has a major side effect
eve graphics on space are usings the lower settings thus look like ****. so you have to manual chenge the gpu settings every time you dock undock ^^ thats the problem, i do not care for incarna a bit.
what i ask is separate gpu settings.
