Maybe we could have cute little alien pets run around our captains quarters? Or caged violent and deadly pets? We would have to feed them daily or they would die. Maybe the violent pets need to be fed human corpses?
And if they die we go to prison due to animal cruelty.
Also, maybe some plant life? Kind of like a farmville scenario.

Perhaps as additions to a BAR on a station. You seem to forget that every time we undock and dock to another station. How did the pet get there etc. Do you bring it along in the ship. .. pets are waste of time IRL so why would I want to spend time feeding a virtual one.

Maybe not whole idea, but I would not have anything against having funny pet in my room and few easy action on it. I like walking fur.

Most of us is 'living' somewhere - we have 1 or more spots where we usually are. So the pet could stay there.
Eve give us cool ability: you don't have to do many things, but it doesn't mean other people will not do it too. Some players like PI, some don't even try it. Same thing is to salvage, missions, manufacturing.... and this could be huge list of what you can do in Eve. When Incarna become something bigger (will allow to walk on stations and cooperate with other players) im sure there will be a lot players who will play EVE mostly for that - and will only move they asses into ship if they really really have to. Believe me. If they will bring pets, there will be a lot of players who will enjoy that. You just don't have to play with them. ____________________________________________ Character creation using 2 screens |

Respected Amarrian officials and members of state often have a pet called a Furrier (covered in a short story somewhere on the website), so it would make a lot of sense and add quite a lot of fun to have our own pets :D
Hopefully if they sell them for aurum though they won't be as expensive as a pair of shoes. -------------------------

I have a question for you, why would be keep pirates * in a cage in our captains quarters? Or did you mean something with a bit more civilised like a poisonous snake or large cat. Though the thought of having some captured pirates shackled to a wall in the hanger could be of interest.
* they tend to make a lot of noise, bad smells, drink all your booze and tend to distract your exotic dance collection while they are `working' for your enjoyment. Macrointel, the place were the nature order of the universe does not hold sway. Pirates and ore thief's are congratulated by carebears for the actions. |
